@Ableton Don’t spend too much time watching technique videos, experiment instead. You’ll come across techniques that are more unique to you this way, and this is particularly useful when you have the mindset of a beginner.
@cmuratori Thanks a lot, I was waiting for this one! The fact that the audio quality doesn’t diminish my enjoyment of it says a lot about the quality of the interview!
@Mattias_G@LionetFrancois I also remember mailing in an international money order (I think it was called) in order to purchase an extension for STOS which made things quite a bit faster. The amount of effort required to purchase niche things like this was quite astounding back then 😅
@Mattias_G@LionetFrancois STOS was where I started as well, at the age of 12 I think. Never finished anything with it, but was inspired by the breakout-clone that shipped with it, and eventually released my own freeware game in a similar vein for DOS several years later.
@teropa@audioprogrammer Interesting! So by synthesizing the IR you might be getting a closer approximation of the actual space itself without any subtle artifacts that are baked into this particular recording?
Really enjoyed your episode on the crypto crash @adamconover ! Also reminded me of this livestream outtake which manages to succinctly summarize the whole crypto scene in 1 minute flat: https://t.co/o66EkKYwsD
Would have thought the chords coming in at the 3:45 mark would sound a bit weaker in the instrumental version, but it hit surprisingly hard - great work!
