Japanese reaction (I'm just the messenger, so please take this as information about public opinion in Japan):

— First, can you fix the issue of having the steering wheel on the passenger side?

— If you make right-hand drive cars, with better fuel efficiency, fewer problems, and durable designs that are as good as Japanese cars, not to mention being easy to handle, low maintenance, and affordable, they’ll sell...

— American cars can’t even be parked in Japanese parking spaces. Of course they don’t sell—they’re not suited to the local conditions.

— We’d appreciate it if you could analyze why cars from BMW, Mercedes, and others are flying off the shelves in Japan.

— Riding the Trump wave, I’d say if we argue that American cars are wanted but the high weight and vehicle taxes are making them unaffordable, we could push for tax cuts, making life easier for car owners.

— Next, he will probably criticize: "Why aren’t Xbox consoles selling more than the Switch in Japan?"

— Counterpoint: "German cars sell well. Italian cars are pretty common too. Just to clarify, the Tripartite Pact between Japan, Germany, and Italy has nothing to do with this."

— By the way, we’re all using Windows, Amazon, Google, and buying iPhones. You know how much of a digital deficit that creates, right?
