@Protestia Amen on the theatrical stuff not being what the scriptures prescribe. But don’t get it twisted, the commandment to not forsake the assembly is actually speaking about gathering for worship, not just ordinary meetings. I think the entire book of Hebrews makes that point clear.
“I have fought the good fight; I have finished the course; I have kept the faith; fulfill your ministry;I have been poured out as a drink offering”-Apostle Paul. So Lord enable me in serving You to be bolder as I get older and stay humble so I do not stumble.
“The Lord disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness.” Hebrews 12:10
Justification secures instantaneously our position of eternal forgiveness and acceptance; and introduces us to a life of painful preparation for heaven in holiness. It is not optional.
John 8:36: "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." Freedom from sin and freedom from tyrannical rulers. We're sons of the Most High God.
Gurus sit on mountain tops, speak to the masses with polished words, are never too close to get hurt and stay clean.
Shepherds walk in dark valleys with the sheep, speak the unvarnished truth, carry wounded sheep, get hurt and dirty, remembering always they are sheep themselves.
The best way to care for orphans and widows is the widespread establishment of strong natural families/households.
Only the normal can address the abnormal.
Want to serve the kingdom of God? Be a member of a local gospel-preaching church. Be known by your elders. Be faithful in attending to the ordinary means of grace. Be submissive to those in authority over you. Be a participant in the church's work and mission.
