Big Tech has now committed roughly $1 trillion to future data-centre leases for AI.
A trillion dollars to make intelligence cheaper and more available.
Wilddddd
But when infrastructure becomes abundant, it stops being the differentiator.
The real question becomes: what are you building on top of it that a normal person actually wants?
That is the bet behind @karooliAI
Models will improve. Compute will get cheaper. Features will get copied.
Understanding people will still be hard 🙂
I'd spent dayyyys designing this part of our website 🥹 https://t.co/lDiG4jJ2yu , will create a separate video on how I designed the entire website, especially the second fold ❤️
People raise pre-seed rounds from places like @speedrun , @spc , and @ycombinator to build their product.
But we wanted to do it differently.
We put all that energy into building and cracking distribution first. Here’s everything we did over the past few months while operating in stealth at @karooliAI ⬇️
➡️ Trained a model soooo good that it beats legacy models from @OpenAI and @AnthropicAI on emotional intelligence benchmarks and understands humans unlike any other model available today | Launching soon
➡️ Designed, built, and quietly launched our first product, powered by that model, in the West. People from all over the world are now using it daily and loving it ❤️
➡️ Onboarded more than 50 creators from the US who believe in our mission and are helping us reach the right people
➡️ Built a solid team 🔥 that includes award-winning film directors, editors known for their craft, ad experts who create funnels that work without deceiving people, and cracked developers from top IITs. I could go on and on, simply because of how proud I am of the team we’ve assembled for this mission 🙈
➡️ Generated more than a million combined views across all the accounts we created in-house and post from daily. Distribution is king.
➡️ Got into NVIDIA Inception. Genuinely very helpful when you’re building an AI startup.
➡️ Built our second product. It is now fully tested, and we’ll be rolling out the beta real soon.
➡️ Shot ads that’ll touch your heart when they launch.
We’ll be launching our first product in a way no one in the Indian startup ecosystem has ever done before.
That’s only possible because we are artists, and we put love and care into everything we do. Every piece of content you see is handcrafted
In fact, I personally designed the Karooli website, https://t.co/bxLE51mLuO, because I hate how every startup from Y Combinator is putting out AI slop and calling it a website.
Can’t wait to show the world what we’ve built.
Some people will love it, and some might not. That’s fine.
The point is, we did all this before raising a dime from investors.
Was that a good decision? Idk. Time will tell, but I’m excited 😊
Moving to san francisco is everyone's dream,
saying no to multiple opportunities there had people questioning my decision.
Here's a reason why I kept saying no to lucrative offers. More soon. We are moving quickly towards our launch. Grateful to share this journey with everyone.
. @karooliAI was started because something in how people connect with each other has quietly been broken, and most of tech is making it worse, not better.
At Karooli we never cared about building for agentic ecosystem, instead we are harnessing this new age technology to make life better at grass root level to make humans better at everything.
This isn't about our philosophy, we are here because billion dollar companies are built on the foundations of solving simple human problems, we want to keep that spirit alive in the "building for agents" era.
This is our attempt at doing it differently.
I quit my job, turned down multiple offers, and said no to opportunities in San Francisco.
Because...
There's a problem I couldn't stop thinking about.
A problem that isn’t being taken seriously enough.
This is the first glimpse of what I've been working on to solve it.
@karooliAI is a lab building products to solve human problems. I’ll share more about that soon.
This isn’t a polished launch announcement. It’s day one of building in public, including the decisions, doubts, mistakes, bugs, and everything we learn along the way.
So if you want to watch something come to life from the very beginning, and not just read the polished version once it succeeds, stick around.
We’re documenting the whole journey.
More soon.

Congress won Karnataka by promising 5 things:
[1] GRUHA JYOTHI: 200 units of free electricity per month to every household.
[2] GRUHA LAKSHMI SCHEME: ₹2,000/month to every woman head of household.
[3] UCHITA PRAYANA: Free bus travel for all women across the state of Karnataka.
[4] YUVA NIDHI: ₹3,000/month for unemployed graduates & ₹1,500/month for unemployed diploma holders.
[5] ANNA BHAGYA: Free 10 kg of rice per person per month to BPL families.
This will cost 50,000 Crore.
Before you gasp, understand:
That Congress basically copied AAP's strategy from Delhi.
With more elections on the way, the freebie political strategy will become more extravagant. Politicians will make bigger and better promises.
If history teaches us anything, it is that there is no such thing as a free lunch. Someone always pays the tab.
In this case, that 'someone' is the one who is able to read and understand this tweet-- a middle class tax paying Indian, waiting for better days.
