@AaronCash6 @SWISSGEAR I agree. I was denied and they said it was due to the customer but it was a buckle and zipper pull. My bag was only 2 years old. I only use it for work half the month and I carry it to a car, put it in the car and carry it back out of the car.

A/Insp Barfoot, Sgt Hierlihy, and Sgt Starzecki were great sports, volunteering to take a pie in the face for the @weRpossibility campaign. Thanks to their participation, PC Amyot raised an impressive $350 for #UnitedWay! On November 30th, five officers will be running a 10km fun run to continue supporting the #UnitedWayofBruceGrey. On October 5, 2024, at 10:45am, the Grey Bruce OPP received a call for service that two individuals were passed out in a motor vehicle on Park Street in the Township of #GeorgianBluffs. Police located the vehicle and occupants. As a result, two individuals, a 40 year old from #Southgate and 43 year old from #GreyHighlands were taken into custody without incident. Police seized a quantity of suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl and drug paraphernalia.

Both individuals were charged with the following:

•Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine
•Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – opioid
•Possession of a schedule I substance – methamphetamine
•Possession of a schedule I substance – opioid

The #GreyBruceOPP want to remind the public to report all suspicious activity to police. ^kl

The #GreyBruceOPP were pleased to attend the #OwenSound Chippers 5th Annual Golf Tournament & Eagles Conference Level 4 Qualifier #StoneTreeGolfCourse. Athletes travelled from #Barrie, #Caledon, #Collingwood, #NorfolkOPP #NorthBay, #Thornbury, #SaugeenShores #Milton and our very own Owen Sound Special Olympics to attend this event. The #OPP want to congratulate all of the athletes for showing determination, confidence, motivation and discipline. The #GreyBruceOPP attended the annual Victoria Village BBQ in #Meaford. It was a fun time seeing all of the residents and service providers enjoying a BBQ together. The OPP's very own Sgt Heels challenged Abd the Grey Bruce OPP Youth In Policing Initiative student to a ball and spoon race. In the end, Sgt Heels demonstrated that he has very steady hands and won the race. #communityevent #communitycomingtogether ^kl

The #GreyBruceOPP want to introduce their first ever Youth In Policing Initiative summer students. #YIPI

Abd and Robert will be working alongside the Community Service Officer in engaging youth and educating the public.

This past week they completed foot patrol and gave out #positivetickets for free Frosters from @circlekcanada to youth for wearing bicycle helmets. It is against the law for any youth under age 18 years old to not wear a bicycle helmet. ^kl

On July 11, 2024, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) held the Ontario Provincial Police 2023 #AccoladeAwardCeremony at OPP General Headquarters (GHQ) in Orillia.

An #auxiliary officer who works with the #GreyBruceOPP was among those honoured for their exceptional efforts in service with the OPP. The Auxiliary Member of the Year Accolade Award was presented to Auxiliary Staff Sergeant Tom Buckley. In 2023, Tom has volunteered over 1000 quality hours with the Auxiliary Unit for the betterment of his community and the OPP. These hours consisted of ride-a-longs with officers, community events and training at the OPP GHQ.

“Auxiliary S/Sgt Tom Buckley has been a dedicated auxiliary member since 1995, devoting countless hours every year. He is a highly respected member of the Grey Bruce OPP and takes immense pride in his position. We are lucky to have him leading our Grey Bruce Auxiliary program, that participates in so many events in our communities.
