@KIN110UofR minimum wage is $11.32 an hour in Saskatchewan. This is not a lot of money to live off, but for small businesses its hard for them too. They are paying for their business paying bills and also paying their employees. Which makes it hard for small businesses to thrive.

@KIN110UofR I think we should start by letting young girls feel they have power and control. Let them have “they’re just girl” moments and influence them to be great leaders. If they’re in a power position or feel as if they are they will keep thriving and become more noticed leaders.

@KIN110UofR Norms of masculinity in sport are changing not a fast pace but it is changing. When I started figure skating guys were only in it to learn how to skate than transferred to hockey. Now the guys are going it to pursue something they enjoy.

@KIN110UofR The government should start on small projects first than grow to larger ones like fixing sidewalks, getting people educated about physical activity and where to access facilities. They need to promote more reasonably instead of showing the most fit people on tv to promote health.

@KIN110UofR If the sport does not involve the NFL, CFL, NHL, NBA, or MLB you do not see it covered as much. There is very minimal coverage of other sports that include women or are “more of a women’s sport.” Even trying to watch national soft ball you have to search it online to watch.

@KIN110UofR The advertising companies show only what people want to see, after a hockey game you see the big goals, the big hits and all the things that would make people more interested. They do not show all the little and fundamental things of the game. #represent

@KIN110UofR Commercialization does impact my enjoyment of sport because life is so hectic I do not attend many games I watch them on tv and all the commercials make me turn away from the channel and miss part of the game.

@KIN110UofR Since there is not a lot of wider prodcasted sports on television people become more open to what’s in their reach and being from Saskatchewan the rough riders are a big part of identity, also because football is a major sport so people will become fans more easily.

@KIN110UofR Personally I would let my kid on adventurous playgrounds the reason being it teaches a sense of sport and creativity. It also helps teach that if you fall down you can get up and try again. #adventureplaygrounds
