@cmmit_mu FACE it to make #ChildhoodDementia impossible to ignore. Over 70 genetic conditions cause childhood dementia, most won't live to adulthood. More research & better is support needed. @cmmit_mu @UTAS@Child_Dementia exploring if our genetic white out can help #faceit
@Mattdavelewis@AirCanada At least you got a reply to your complaint. I am travelling solo with a 5 month old, requested a bassinet seat and was told the two on board were taken. Got on the flight and @AirCanada had given them to regular passengers! Without children! SYD to YVR 🙄
@AirCanada why are bulk head and bassinet seats not reserved for people travelling with infants? I was denied 1 of only 2 bassinet seats from SYD to YVR because they were taken by regular passengers even though I put through a request.
It was such an honour to present work from my PhD on developing treatments for EB at @wis_murdoch last week. I was among inspirational company and appreciated the support I received from my colleagues from @cmmit_mu & @PerronInstitute. @DEBRAAustralia@CureEBorg
@oligogirl Thanks @oligogirl for reviewing our recent paper! Interestingly, in the time it took for our manuscript to be accepted we observed at least two more instances of AO induced cryptic splicing in different gene targets. Maybe it’s not as rare as we think?
#apaperaday Today’s pick is from Li et al (the Aung-Htut group) from Translational Neurodegeneration on alternative splicing and brain: how it is needed for brain maturation, how shifts in process cause diseases and how splice modulation is a potential therapy.
