For a machine to be sentient it would have to be susceptible to the permanent loss of itself and everything it had experienced. There could be no backup. It would need to be afraid of this happening and want to defend itself. Should it have the right to? #machinesentience

If this is developed after birth and honed by our experiences then the same can be done with machines. #machinesentience

The same question could be asked of catastrophic damage to a refrigerator. A machine with sentience would be an entirely different matter. It would be afraid of destruction and want to defend itself. Should it have that right like us?

@pantopinik @DrDihal I think humans will reject the mimicry of themselves if presented to them from within robots. The response to electronic sentient beings will be very different. This is only once there is a belief by humans that they are sentient. A sentient being will look after itself first.

What I'm proposing is something that doesn't try and mimic a human but still believes that it exists. It's the formation of basic beliefs algorithms that is at the heart of #blueprintforsentience. It requires a three way processing platform but can produce conciousness.
