Subject: Request for urgent upgradation of power infrastructure in Wakad, Ravet, Hinjawadi, Baner and surrounding IT corridors
Respected Sir,
On behalf of the Forum For IT Employees (FITE Maharashtra), we would like to draw your kind attention to the growing issue of frequent and prolonged power outages in Wakad, Ravet, Hinjawadi, Baner, Balewadi, Punawale and nearby areas of Pune.
These locations have witnessed rapid urbanisation over the last decade, with the development of numerous high-rise residential projects and a significant increase in population. They are also home to one of India’s largest IT hubs, where thousands of professionals work in hybrid and work-from-home arrangements.
Frequent electricity interruptions are causing severe hardship to residents and employees by:
* Disrupting work-from-home and business operations.
* Interrupting internet connectivity and online meetings.
* Affecting lifts, water pumps and essential services in high-rise buildings.
* Creating inconvenience for senior citizens, children and patients.
* Causing productivity losses for employees and organisations.
As Maharashtra continues to position itself as the country’s leading IT investment destination, uninterrupted and reliable electricity has become a critical infrastructure requirement rather than a basic utility.
We respectfully request your intervention to:
1. Conduct a comprehensive technical audit of the electricity distribution network in Wakad, Ravet, Hinjawadi, Baner and adjoining areas.
2. Upgrade substations, transformers, feeders and distribution lines to meet the increasing demand.
3. Strengthen the power infrastructure considering future residential and commercial growth.
4. Establish a preventive maintenance and monitoring mechanism to minimise unplanned outages.
5. Publish a long-term infrastructure augmentation plan along with timelines for implementation.
We are confident that your timely intervention will significantly improve the quality of life for lakhs of residents and ensure uninterrupted operations for Maharashtra’s IT workforce.
FITE Maharashtra would be pleased to meet the concerned officials and provide feedback received from IT employees and residents to support this initiative.
We sincerely hope this matter will receive your kind consideration and be taken up on priority.
Thanking You.
Yours faithfully,
Forum For IT Maharashtra

Pune Ketan Agarwal case is deeply disturbing. Ketan and his family deserve a fair, thorough, and impartial investigation, and above all, justice.
I introduced the National Commission for Men Bill in Parliament. Every victim deserves justice, support, and equal protection under the law.
The Ketan case is a reminder that men, too, can be victims. They deserve institutional support, legal protection, and a platform where their voices are heard. Justice must be equal for everyone, irrespective of gender.

Drop HbA1c + Burn Fat in Just 15-30 Minutes a Day Routine
1) Brisk Walking or March in Place 20-30 min most days (or 10-15 min after meals). Strong evidence for lowering HbA1c, improving insulin sensitivity, and blunting glucose spikes.
2) Chair Step-Ups / Stair Climbing 3-10 min bouts (especially post-meal). Studies show it rapidly reduces postprandial glucose & insulin, improves sensitivity often better than flat walking for quick control.
3) Chair Squats : 8-12 reps, 2-3 sets. Builds leg muscle for better glucose uptake; resistance training meta-analyses confirm meaningful HbA1c reductions.
4) Wall Push-Ups : 8-12 reps. Upper body strength without strain; part of effective combined routines.
5) Seated Soleus Push-Ups (Calf Raises) : Lift heels while sitting (do during TV time). Emerging research shows excellent low-effort glucose lowering.
6) Leg Lifts + Modified Plank : 10 reps/leg + 20-30 sec hold. Enhances core/lower body strength and overall metabolic health. #Diabetes #obesity
Whenever you’re booking a flight to Navi Mumbai Airport, please add ₹2000 to your ticket price, to account for the cab.
What a mess! Insanely expensive cabs, even if you try to book Uber Go thinking it’s slightly cheap, they’re not available & wait time is 45 minutes+ 🫡
