I’ll give you an example of waste in government IT contracts.
Yesterday my team supposed to upgrade the landline phone lines in a USPS location.
We were not able to do anything because no one in the management knew the phone lines bidding post (location in the telco room), we will be paid 6 hours for waiting for someone to give the information.
This was the 3rd time that my team got dispatched at this location, 14 hours in total but 0 work performed.
Dude this is literally a standard practice between countries that are enemies. It’s been going on for hundreds of years.
USA, Russian , Europe , China , north Corea etc… all this countries have been restricting ex military personnel for hundreds of years.
You should do a research before commenting.
Qatar literally blocked and arrested every gay or transgender during last World Cup, and everyone was okey with it because that’s their tradition and belief.
Now USA issuing restricted visa to Iranian ex generals is a problem? During a war with Iran ?
So restricting ex military officers is bad but BANNING regular people that are gay or transgender is good? Make it make sense.
Why did Iran decided to have Mehdi Taj president of Iran’s football federation when he is a former IRGC commander?
Do you think is normal appoint a military commander as president of the a soccer federation? Iran soccer players received regular visa like every other country, Iran staff has to be in USA only for the day of the game, because they decided to appoint a military commander as head of staff and federation. It seems pretty reasonable what USA decided to do.
You don’t get to choose but you can choose not to let them in their country if they were a high ranking member of the military of a country you are at war with.
This is been normal practice for long time, Russian generals have a hard time entering any western country for any kind of competition. This is common sense.
In my opinion it does matter if an ex military general enters a country they are at war with.
It doesn’t matter what side is he on now, every country will treat that individual as high profile and high risk individual.
The same happened to Russian military generals every time they want to enter a western country for any competition.
This is just common sense.
USA gave a regular visa to all soccer players, but they are giving a hard time with visa to all the Iran staff. For example Mehdi Taj, president of Iran’s football federation is a former IRGC commander.
Don’t you think it’s risky to give visa to an ex Iranian commander? How did he become president of Iran football? It’s looks really fishy to me.
Besides that, last World Cup in Qatar gat and transgender were banned from entering the country. If you showed any kind of rainbow flag or item you would end up in jail. What USA is doing seems pretty reasonable.
