Hello friends! I’ve started a mutual-aid publishing project called AMIKETO (Esperanto for “Little Friend”) that aims to raise money for vulnerable lives and communities through offering handsewn booklets of original and translated writing in exchange for donations. (1/5)
We’ve raised over $50K in the last ten days for @sameerproject 🙏🙏🙏 We are not and never will be a “501c3” we have no fiscal sponsor this has all been done by a small group of friends and comrades. Dont underestimate what you can do with the people around you.
i actually dont think there should be any space for people changing their tune now that they oppose this current famine. it is too late. i think they should have to live with that stain forever and be totally ostracized tbh. i dont care!
Please donate to or spread word of @sameerproject's life-saving material support efforts. They are now operating in emergency mode, searching for food and supplies under scorching heat, forced starvation, and the threat of bullets.
🚨Gaza is starving. Gaza is BEING STARVED.🚨People are dying. People are BEING KILLED.
🚨The most destructive weapon is not dropping a nuclear bomb. The most destructive weapon is man-made hunger which will lead to the deaths of 2 million people if we do not stop it.
The Sameer Project has been forced to stop food distributions that feed entire encampments and community kitchens that feed thousands, because we cannot find food or ingredients. We usually feed tens of thousands of people per week, now we can only find limited amounts of nutritional packets and some vegetables in the markets. When we do, this supply goes to the sickest patients in hospitals to keep them alive, and we will continue to do this.
We are still able to supply water and we are still able to buy tents and provide medication. But soon this will not matter when people are dropping in the streets.
🚨Get LOUD.
🚨Protest.
🚨Disrupt.
🚨Continue to give so we can assist how we are still able to.
Everyone in Gaza, their lives, quite literally depend on this. They depend on YOU. The Sameer Project will continue to do all we can, with your help, but soon this will be the end. Unless immediate action is taken. Unless the world stops Israel from starving every man, woman, child, the elderly, the disabled, the sick, in Gaza.
🚨SAVE GAZA!!!!

*Sigh* Reminds me of how my latest translation was reviewed by a Canadian foreigner service officer at the China Center for Policy Research, and he misquoted me, the author, and misread the context of the book. With all his so-called “experience.”
Please wish our dear comrade & fellow co-organizer a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Today she is matching up to $1K in funds to the Sameer Project's new medical campaign. Help us celebrate this brilliant angel scholar and friend to so many on this planet 🌏🦀 https://t.co/xAMTswIywR
"To be a Palestinian translator is to become an intermediary between a vanishing world and one that refuses to acknowledge its disappearance; to carry voices across the abyss of silence; to smuggle meaning past the barricades of linguistic and political distortion..."
If you can, support @sameerproject latest medical campaign, and help this network of dedicated resisters facilitate the nourishment, healing and survival of Palestinians by Palestinians with whatever means are available to them, and without condition. https://t.co/b31M9ZQR4H
Canada is so heavily complicit in Israel's crimes. Canada is not complying with its own obligations under international law to stop weapons shipments to Israel, as it is committing genocide and illegal occupation.
Unbelievable work amidst unrelenting atrocities. Reminder that you can sign up to provide weekly & monthly donations as well 🌿 https://t.co/h94QMuCR2n
Israel’s campaign of terror continues to rob Palestinians of every human right, if not their lives. The bombing of data centers is yet another fascist attempt to silence the survivors. Help keep Palestinians connected with loved ones, and the world!
New translation - “A Blank Ghazal for Gaza” is a long poem by the Spanish Esperanto poet Jorge Camacho, who has been writing poems for Palestine since 1993. As always, my translations are available in exchange for donations to The Sameer Project. Order at: https://t.co/Im5HgjfRBU
Eid Al Adha is a time of sacrifice to give to those less fortunate. We all have a responsibility to help those suffering the unimaginable in Gaza. The Eid campaign is zakat eligible. Please come together as a community: donate and share with your family and friends
If you haven’t attended a W4G workshop yet, I highly recommend you do—We learn so much more as a community working and thinking together across borders than as institutionalized, cloistered individuals working for a diploma.
We need help getting the word out about this upcoming workshop by Jamie Shearn Coan, on Resistance Literature. It’s online, June 7! Please help us out by quote tweeting and sharing! https://t.co/ZkoIXLIIl8
Introducing Parables and Palestine — an online workshop by Tramaine Suubi that will analyze and apply Octavia Butler's Parable of the Sower and Talents to the Palestinian liberation struggle and our daily lives. June 22, 1 pm EST! Register here: https://t.co/5HsnwPyyIO
When folks respond to every act of violence by the oppressed with “I condemn”, it reproduces liberal notions of who has the right to be free. It legitimizes the idea that those living under oppression must wait until their oppressor sets them free. Which is of course the point.
Authors for eSims for Gaza’s online auction is closing in 1 day & 7 hrs! So many works from so many wonderful authors to bid on! Also, to anyone who raises the bid for my booklet bundle to $35+, I’ll throw in a cute Esperanto pin I picked up in Nara, JP! https://t.co/zwfO4yikgV
