Not even six days since the road was laid and the GHMC and Water Board work crews have arrived to dig it in Hyderabad in Srinagar Colony. Why shouldn’t we demand sacking of the top officials of these departments.

TG SAFE conducted a special restaurant inspection drive across Madhapur, Hitech City and Gachibowli.

Ten enforcement teams inspected 20 food establishments and lifted 21 samples for laboratory analysis.

The inspections revealed pest infestation, expired and spoiled food, unhygienic kitchens, improper storage and labelling violations.

Deficiencies were also observed in refrigerators, drainage systems, flooring, exhausts and washing areas.

Several establishments failed to maintain mandatory water-analysis, pest-control and food-handler health records.

Improvement notices are being issued to six establishments for rectification of the identified lapses.

Three establishments will receive show-cause notices for further action and imposition of penalties.

The FSSAI licences of 11 establishments are being suspended, with instructions to stop business operations immediately.

The establishments will be reinspected to verify compliance with food-safety requirements.

TG SAFE will continue inspections and enforcement action to safeguard public health.
