I am feeling deeply depressed today. The brutal annihilation of the entire Ganesh Chakraborty family is horrifying & yet, so far, not a single liberal, human-rights activist, or leftist has raised their voice in support of Hindus in Bangladesh.

His daughter was due to be married in just a few days. She was allegedly brutally raped, her eyes were gouged out, and acid was poured on her face. The sheer hatred and brutality directed against Hindus is deeply disturbing.

His wife too was raped and subjected to horrific torture. His 12-year-old son was forcibly circumcised. Ganesh himself was brutally killed.

Their only “crime” was that they were Hindus.

What makes this horror even more disturbing is the alleged treatment of the bodies after the killings—acid was reportedly poured over their faces before the bodies were dumped at the foot of the stairs.

The complete destruction of an entire Hindu family cannot simply be dismissed as an ordinary crime. If these reports are established, this would be a horrifying indictment of law and order, minority protection, and the failure of society to protect innocent human beings from communal violence.

Where are the voices that so loudly speak about human rights when the victims are Hindu?

Human rights cannot be selective. Outrage cannot depend on the religion of the victim. If you remain silent when an entire family is allegedly brutalised and killed because they are Hindu, that silence is not neutrality—it is hypocrisy.

थोड़ी भी शर्म बची है नेगी जी तो इस ग़रीब हिंदू परिवार से मिलिए और इन्हें एक करोड़ की सहायता राशि दिजिए

While it’s important to support our students and ask for educational reforms that positively impact the future of our youth, it’s also very important that peaceful protests by students are Not hijacked by anti national elements to create chaos & change the nature of the protest.

Seeing so much hate & divide online makes me wonder if bad elements in & outside our country have already started to work overtime to weaponise the anger & frustration felt by our students.

Mesopotamia was never the cradle of civilisation. India was.

I spent forty years in international shipping, not academia. When I began researching the history of maritime trade, I had no orthodoxy to defend. I followed the evidence, and it kept arriving in the same place: the Indian subcontinent.

Nineteenth century archaeologists dug in Mesopotamia because the climate preserved artefacts, the biblical sources pointed them there, and the Ottomans allowed the excavations. That is the entire basis for the myth of Mesopotamia as "the cradle of civilisation."

Nobody applied the same rigour to India. Mohenjo-daro was not discovered until 1922. By then the narrative had already hardened.

What was actually there was the largest civilisation of the ancient world. Three hundred cities. Fifty thousand people in each, by 2600 BC. Two thirds of them stood on the banks of the Sarasvati, the central and greatest of the seven rivers described in the Rig Veda, flowing down from the Himalayas before the river vanished entirely by 1900 BC. The Vedic kings claimed territory stretching "sea to sea," from Afghanistan to Maharashtra, some 1.5 million square miles, against Egypt's 13,000. A dock at Lothal built to handle thirty ships of sixty tons, unmatched in Europe for four thousand years. When it was first excavated, it was recorded as a bathing pool.

When the scale became impossible to dismiss, the theory was not corrected. It was replaced with a story of pale-skinned nomads from the steppe who supposedly arrived around 1500 BC and brought civilisation with them. There is no evidence. The chronology doesn't work. The Vedas describe no invasion.

In 2019 a Harvard-led genetic study revived the claim, and the press reported it as confirmation. It was not. The same study found the builders of these cities were indigenous. The Sarasvati river that the Rig Veda described had already dried up before these newcomers arrived. What the study also found is that a small group of men, arriving after the Sarasvati had already dried up, interbred with the existing population and left a genetic signature. That is all.

So, where they chose to dig was mostly an accident of climate and access. The Aryan invasion theory was constructed because an Indian civilisation that owed nothing to Caucasians was a fact the late nineteenth century could not accommodate.

Peterborough's only Hindu temple is battling in the High Court after the city's Labour-led council approved the sale of the building to an Islamic organization.

The Bharat Hindu Samaj, which has served around 14,000 Hindus across Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Lincolnshire for 40 years, says it had already agreed a £1.3 million purchase price with the council. However, the council instead chose to sell the site to Khadijah Mosque, part of the United Kingdom Islamic Mission, as it seeks to reduce its £500 million debt.

The temple, founded by families expelled from Uganda by Idi Amin in 1972, is the only Hindu temple within a 35-mile radius and also hosts yoga classes, language lessons, sports clubs and activities for elderly residents.

After the council upheld the sale in February, the Hindu community secured an injunction blocking it and has since raised more than £119,000 through crowdfunding to fund a judicial review.

The temple's legal team argues the council acted unlawfully by failing to comply with the Equality Act 2010, saying the closure would have a dramatic impact on the local Hindu community.

According to the 2021 Census, Peterborough has 2,104 Hindus compared with 23,126 Muslims. Some members of the Hindu community say losing their only temple while several mosques already exist in the city feels discriminatory, with one saying it "feels like we're being expelled again."

The council insists it followed a fair legal process and says Hindus will not be left without a place of worship, while Khadijah Mosque says it has outgrown its current premises and plans to create a larger community facility with prayer halls, classrooms and sports facilities.

He was taken to Civil Hospital Batala, where the Doctor incharge refused to treat him and told his family to take him to Amritsar. He said that if he treats him here, mob will assemble in the hospital. Sh. Aggarwal passed away near Verka, on way to Amritsar.

2. Refugee Camp Batala - Sh. Ram Lal, who had migrated to Refugee camp Batala City, from his Village in Batala district was killed by terrorists, just outside Refugee camp. His family was also in refugee camp.

How many Hindus are aware that thousands and thousands of Hindus were forced to flee from their homes in Punjab and live as refugees in refugee camps? Thousands of families permanently migrated to neighbouring states, leaving behind their homes, shops, businesses, farms and even temples. Let that sink in ; Majority Community of this country had become Refugee in their own country. But has any Hindu ever expressed outrage on this? Have we ever sought justice for them? Nobody knows that how many Hindus have been able to go back to their homes. Sometimes I feel that perhaps our complacency, our silence and our reluctance to speak for each other is costing us heavily.

Katra Ahluwalia Amritsar - In two powerful bomb blasts caused by bombs planted on bicycles, parked near shops owned by Hindus and among Hindu shoppers in the commercial hub of Amritsar, 30 Hindus killed on spot and 150 seriously injured. Large number of injured people, houses and shops caught fire as bombs were very sophisticated. 6 injured died in hospitals within few minutes and 14 Hindus died in hospitals later on. Babbar Khalsa took responsibility for the bomb blasts. Many Hindus were crippled for whole life. Names of those killed and identified immediately : S/Sh. Radha Krishan, Krishan Lal, Prem Nath Seth, Om Parkash, Kewal Mehra, Brij Lal, Naresh Bhatia, Durga Dass, Raj Kumar Kapoor, Krish Kumar Jain, Trilok Chand, Brij Mohan Kapoor, Manohar Lal, Amarnath Seth, Charan Dass, Rajpal, Ashok Kumar, Madan Mohan Karoda, Vilayati Ram, Manohar Lal, Suresh Kumar, Narinder Pal, Kashmir Singh s/o Durga Dass Brahman, Joginder Kumar, Mohan Lal SPO, Pritam Chand, Vipan Kumar, Nand Kishore, Jeet Lal. Many real brothers sitting on shops were killed. Many bodies couldn’t be recognized as they were badly mutilated and charred . 5 traders from Kangra (H.P.) also died in blast. Sh. Raj Kumar Mehra died on 2/7/88. Sh. Vimal Kumar died in PGI on 3/7/88 and Sh. Shyam Sunder died on 6/7/88. Many migrants who worked in market as labourers couldn't be identifed . Katra Aluwalia is the same area where terrorists had thrown heads of cows in temples.

2. Rama Mandi (Bathinda) -Sh. Baldev Raj Mittal, a leading Hindu of the town and a prominent social worker was killed.

3. Village Moja Dhakdar (Ludhiana) -Migrant Sh. Sohan Lal was shot dead and his wife was injured.

4. Village Kheri Ranwa (P.S. Jhulkan) Patiala - Dera Mahant Sh. Bhagwan Dass and his disciple Sh. Bheera shot dead .
