When my dad was a corper, he was already living in a 3-bedroom apartment, paying rent on his own and had a pregnant wife who wasn’t working while he was working at a top publishing firm.
As for me, I’m also a corper and I don’t have transport to go to CDS 😂
Something something demand and supply, market size and economies of scale. Amoke oge in Lagos can afford to sell goat meat at 3k, Iya Ojo in Ondo can only sell at 5k to make reasonable profit.
I have been to the capital cities of 3 States in the last 3 days (Akure, Osogbo and Ikeja) and I must tell you for a fact that I got the cheapest food in Lagos.
Can't explain it.
@FAMEMAKER_@Chydee He has other qualifications that are relevant to the position he currently holds but it was intentionally left out. If he had listed all his qualifications, then no one would question the intention of his tweet.
You are compelled to? The fact that you are issuing a directive to them to withdraw a case they deemed fit to file in the first place undermines their independence!
1. It has come to my notice that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) obtained a court order on August 5, 2026, freezing the accounts of the Osun State Government.
2. I must state that I feel deeply embarrassed not by the EFCC's exercise of its mandate backed by a court order, but by the timing of the agency's action. This is so because every action taken by an institution of State, especially at the Federal level, is always credited to me, as the President, even when I may not have had any prior knowledge of the action.
3. Since assuming office, I have consistently maintained that anti-corruption and law enforcement agencies must be allowed to discharge their statutory responsibilities independently, professionally, without fear or favour, or political interference. I have therefore deliberately refrained from directing or interfering in the operational activities of the EFCC or any other investigative or prosecutorial agency because I firmly believe that strong democratic institutions, operating within the confines of the law, are indispensable to democratic good governance and the rule of law.
@amun_ra95488@Flowfy02@MarinatedTurks He has no legal or customary right to that. Only the children of the deceased are entitled to inherit his property under Yoruba customs. Under the law, the right of the parents to administer the deceased estate is third in line, the spouse and children take priority.
@kolatosho19@TheYemiKing Which one? Because the current Osemawe was nominated by his family. There were three contenders for the throne at the time before he was chosen. He was not exactly ‘bundled’.
@Iam_Elmander@FlodyMani@NomSamuels @oneunseriousboy @RecruitmentPq Having a side hustle as a full time civil servant is against their code of conduct but we all know they do it. However, the person that mentioned additional 500k said the money would be made from the government work not a side hustle.
@Opawimmy@nnamdi__u @oneunseriousboy @Solomon_wiz@RecruitmentPq He knows everything falls within the definition of corruption and illegality, which is why he cannot mention them in public.
@TheTruthfulBAI@segun_more I believe those enterprises, though located within the school premises, are owned by the staff cooperative society. I have seen similar arrangements in other schools. If that’s the case here, then they are private businesses.
Refusing to admit a child because of their religion is what amounts to discrimination.
Where a parent voluntarily enrols a child in a faith-based school, they are accepting the school’s religious ethos and rules, including its dress code. They waived the right to complain.
"Go to school where you are allowed to wear a hijab"
Exceptionally, it is worse to go to ROME to advocate for your home country's culture.
Similarly, if you want to dress in accordance with your religion, it makes sense to go to places where you are allowed.
This is a great fix. But, this is effectively a "give Caesar Caesar's" fix.
Each kid was first Nigerian before they were students. Naturally, they should enjoy every right and freedom that comes with being a Nigerian.
They should be free to dress fundamentally as Christians or as Muslims.
I attended an Islamic secondary school. Christians were (are) allowed and the girls were (are) not coerced to wear hijab. They wear Christian-aligned cover. The guys were not forced to wear a cap. I never wear one myself.
I do think it is ok for schools to strictly define whether it is a Christian or Islamic school. I also think it is ok for such a school not to admit a Christian or Muslim at all.
Admission is consent to the religion of such children and their respective acceptable code of dress.
Thank You and Take Care..
@ldj_didi @cecild84 @Khu_Ntshavheni How did you conclude that the properties are proceeds of crime if the said culprit was never tried in court and convicted of a crime? Does being a citizen of other African countries automatically make a person a criminal in South Africa?
“Because of my husband, I now sit in the front seat of a car, I now live in a compound where I don't share toilet or bathroom, because of him, I now live in a flat, I use Android. I will keep on submitting to him all the days of my life”
Nigerian Woman sing praises of her husband for all he has done for her
Imagine what 10,494 health professionals could do for Nigeria’s healthcare system.
Instead, they are in the NHS. If only they were paid fairly and given better working conditions.
