I was recently made aware of an antisemitic event featuring a hate-filled agenda that took place in Somerset. I was appalled to learn this happened; this event, nor the views advanced represent what we stand for in Somerset, nor does it represent the strong sense of community, togetherness, and unity we have cultivated and built here. 

I was honored to welcome Israel’s Consul General @anatsultandadon Wednesday to Somerset. As many know, I strongly support Israel and have long been involved with @AIPAC and appreciate their advocacy.

Somerset residents should also know I denounce hatred in any form, and the Consul General's visit was an opportunity to reaffirm our dedication to fight against it.

Standing together, especially in the face of such hate which has no place in Somerset, makes us all stronger.

This is why people hate politics. Gov Beshear made his mark with Kentuckians by appearing to lead for everyone. Boasting of putting partisan politics aside and doing good for all. With the national stage in potential reach, he is a partisan hack? What gives, What is real? This looks like business as usual. I think the voters, the people, are smart. We can be better than this.
