Pastor, Christian, Conservative, Married happily since 07/28/2023
Pro family, pro-life, pro Biblical marriage and pro death penalty, anti euthanasia all cases.
I woke up this morning to the tragic news that Senator Lindsey Graham of SC has passed away. Lindsey was a dear friend and the hardest working man in the US Senate. He was also one of President Trumps most loyal supporters.
Most people do not know his life’s story. He grew up living over a bar run by his family. After the early death of his parents he personally stepped up to provide for, and raise, his younger sister. He then became a Congressman and later a Senator.
Contrary to a public narrative that he was a war hawk, it was the opposite that is true. He wanted an end to the war with Russia and Ukraine and end all conflicts in the Middle East. There is no elected official that traveled to these regions more than Senator Graham. His dream for the Middle East was that of a lasting peace in the region between every nation and his hope was this could all be accomplished by the early fall. This is something he loved to discuss with President Trump and others day and night.
He loved his job more than any elected official I’ve ever known and serving the people of SC, for him, was a 24/7 focus. He was always on a mission to accomplish big things for the country and world. He will be greatly missed.
I pray his dream of a lasting peace is realized sooner than later. There was simply nobody in elected office that loved his job and worked harder.
Our love and prayers go out to all his family and friends as they mourn a political force of nature. And we pray that our God has welcomed him into his loving embrace in the paradise he has promised his believers.
God speed Senator Graham as you return to the home of our creator and Savior.
The world celebrates the spotlight. God writes the supporting cast into His eternal story. Big roles aren't the only ones that matter. Faithfulness is. Be faithful where He has set you.
Jesus comes with a pardon in His hand for anyone willing to receive it. Every sin paid for at the cross. All He asks is a humble heart that admits its need. Don't leave Him standing at the cell.
Even John the Baptist had a season of doubt. Doubt is not the opposite of faith. Unbelief is. Doubt asks questions. Unbelief refuses to listen. Take your questions to Jesus, not away from Him.
The world says seeing is believing. Faith says believing is enough. You haven't seen your name written in the Book of Life, but you have His word on it. His word has never failed yet.
Two hundred fifty years ago, 56 brave men signed a document they knew could be their death warrant.
Instead, they changed the course of history and founded the greatest nation on Earth.
Happy 250th birthday, America!
@WhiteHouse God bless America, land that I love
Stand beside her and guide her
Through the night with a light from above
From the mountains to the prairies
To the oceans white with foam
God bless America, my home sweet home
God bless America, my home sweet home
O say can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming,
Whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there;
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave? 🇺🇸
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Do you feel overlooked in your service to God? Most of the original twelve never made the headlines. They simply followed Jesus and finished well. Your Savior sees every quiet act of obedience.
Jesus did not choose His disciples to have the same ministry. He chose them to carry the same message. Your role may look small. Your message is everything. Be faithful right where you are.
