It is with sadness that we mourn the passing of former Samford head baseball coach Tim Parenton. Coach Parenton led the program from 1998 to 2004 and was named the 2004 OVC Coach of the Year. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family during the difficult time.

No one had it better than we did growing up in Starkville in the 80s. Words cannot do it justice. Blessed is an understatement. @Rafael_Palmeiro, his now wife Lynn, @WillClark22 , Dan Zelmer, @TrentIntorcia, 12 year old me, 8 yr old @glperry and the late Tim Parenton RIP
Today we learned about the passing of Coach Tim Parenton. TP (‘80) served as the baseball coach at Jesuit from 2007-10. Tim shared his passion for the game and exemplified being a man for others while coaching at Jesuit. We pray for Tim, the Parenton family, and his wife Sheila.
@Dogbusdriver Tim was a great teammate, leader and friend to all of us who had a chance to play with him. He was one of the first people I met in Starkville. He showed me around campus and town when I came for my recruiting trip in 1982. I will miss you my friend. RIP
Yesterday the new leadership at Mandeville High School asked me to resign and said they were going in a “different direction”. I have enjoyed my time here. I understand their decision, but it still stings. I appreciate all the support I’ve gotten over the past 4 years.
A milestone weekend for TP included a huge series win down in Fort Myers as we won two against FGCU Saturday.
