Wow…81 years since first ever use of a #nuclearbomb on a CIVILIAN population. Let us all as super-intelligent species of Modern Day #humans reflect, strive to c eye to eye w. one ‘moths. For a World of #peace, not destruction by #nuclearweapons#Nagasaki https://t.co/UUJHFyoPDN
It’s because MOST of us who’re born here (or grew up fr v young, and are extreme minorities especially in suburbs or semi-rural vicinities) are only privileged to’ve had an opportunity to master only 1 language till tertiary education or at most 2 if their parents know a 2nd one.
For the record, here's the full exchange from yesterdays Hansard, when Winston Peters told Green MP Lawrence Xu-Nan to "go back home".
Winston Peters: "The original sham inquiry even failed to identify that Chris Hipkins and Verrall knew about advice that highlighted danger to under-17-year-olds having two shots and suffering from myocarditis. They knew about it, and then they claimed they didn’t know."
Dr Lawrence Xu-Nan: "Are you vaccinated?"
Winston Peters: "I’m not making it up, sunshine. I noticed you came here five minutes ago. Go back to your own country—that’s where they lie like a flatfish, but they don’t lie like that here, all right? This is called a democracy—this is called a democracy, unlike what you’re used to. Go back to where you’ve come from, you loudmouth, and maybe you’ll learn something about the political system of New Zealand in time before you go streaming out of here in three months’ time."
Mr Xu-Nan was on TVNZ with Tova O'Brien this morning. A 7 1/2 minute interview.
Funny how Peters telling an MP born in China to go home makes the news in NZ.
While overseas news agencies are finally having to reveal the truth that Covid19 was a scam.
NZ's legacy media will protect Jacinda Ardern to the end.
As Foreign Minister, #WinstonPeters is not fulfilling his duty of care and has insulted China, New Zealand's largest trading partner. This is like Trump attacking Canada. Even if it appeals to your base, it diminishes New Zealand's soft power and national brand.
Many from Asian communities will lose their vote if @nzfirst has its way
Along with those from England, the Netherlands, South Africa, the Czech Republic, Brazil, the USA, Australia, France etc who have permanent residency but not citizenship
#winstonpeters is the worst racist
#WinstonPeters is, in many ways, New Zealand's NigelFarage.
They have both built enduring careers by curating grievance.
This is politically effective.
It is also corrosive. #nzpol#AtlasNetwork

With nothing but ink and a brush, a Chinese creator makes a striking optical illusion — bringing calligraphy to life beneath his feet. 🖌️
No driver? No problem.
At northwest China's Urumqi Tianshan International Airport, self-driving shuttle vehicles are now transporting passengers and supporting apron operations with no human behind the wheel. The vehicles can cruise, avoid obstacles and dock automatically—even in extreme weather. With more than 100 autonomous vehicles and smart devices already in use, the airport is taking a big step toward a smarter, more efficient future.
Dianchi International Coffee Carnival unfolds under clear skies after rain. Danxia clouds hover over Dianchi Lake, with a floating bridge stretching across shimmering waves. Processions of Munao Zongge dancers march across the bridge with powerful steps and fluttering colorful fans, creating a spectacular lively scene by the lake.

What you won’t see in Western media: 🇨🇳Xinjiang now has a massive mountain bridge, built for 2.4 billion RMB—about 3.4 million per meter!
Before this, locals were trapped by winter snow and cut off from the world. Now, new bridges and roads connect them to a better life!
