Japa ! will literally mean; if I die I die. Hello! It could be a stupid, foolish and senseless reaction to your situation. When we say; we have never seen this before. It is to terrify you and bring fear into your mind. The Bible says: there is nothing new under the sun.
If after you have ‘japa’ you start to ‘misthink’ your reality, you must have a problem. Because unless you’re called like Abraham, you simply can no longer compete in your natural environment- And that doesn’t call for celebration.
I took a study of some of our people outside and I discovered they want to tell you they even have better understanding of the happenings in the country. Why? They listen to “Oyinbo” news. However in reality most of them are far away from that luxury. They seem to think they are more exposed maybe by entering airplane to where they are.
Ditto, many has been deceived to slavery, if you raise your hand to claim asylum; you will become a government property to do the jobs that are worst than the one at home. If you’re one out of a hundred you become successful after many years of endurance.
However, deluding yourself with a picture in front of a palace or expensive cars will only make demands from home more tedious and unbearable.
So de your lane like we say; don’t put up a pose. We know it is not easy there. But we still believe in Nigeria success story.

I studied a bit of journalism in my waiting years looking for university admission through a correspondent course; Exam Success. And the little I did exposed me to understanding the reasons a journalist will put out a negative news about a person or even an organization.
One of such is to get the truth behind a news. And that can be done decently, by digging into facts via research and adequate understanding of the situation behind such news. This way the society is put to check. The press then serves the purpose of the society. But what the initiator of the press as ‘the fourth state of the realm ‘ do not foresee is a press of the capitalist society of today.
The press or media of the capitalist societies are founded by the capitalist whose aim and purpose is to make more money and maybe propagate his course even at the expense of the society. So he’s typical business man with or without other investors.
In journalism, if a man eats dog; it is no news, but if dog eats man that is the news. But what is the sum up dictionary meaning of news?
News is newly received information or a
report about recent and important events.
Simply put: new event and important. But now that news becomes interrogation without findings. News should not be about abnormalities, but worthy items.

The media today has become the house of lies, hatred, discontent and all other vices rather than the realm of stability and progress.
Before the 2024 USA general elections that brought in President Donald Trump, an international tv station followed his trial and to a ridiculous extent; followed his flight from his base to the court room, why? The Osun election is the dance of three governors in succession of each other. The youngest in succession danced to victory, his predecessor remained a runner-up while the predecessor of that danced to shame.

Yes! She has the right to support Obi. But my concern is the inability of the press, especially this television “astronaut” to see the angel that is not in this people who complain after they themselves failed when they have the opportunity to make it right. Some of us are eye witness to their rot and can not now be deceived by their “holiness”.

Very viable analysis of the situation. But the President cannot continue to keep quiet in the face of unrelenting disinformation. There is Yoruba saying “ ti o bani, ma sorosi; nje o mo oun it wa ba lenu oun na?” If you say your truth to power; power has its own truth saying it … shouldn’t be a problem.
