Junta's two airstrikes this morning killed dozens of students and two teachers and injured many in a school located O Htein Twin village, Sagaing Region’s Depayin Township according to local sources report.
We strongly condemn military junta's repeated airstrikes targeting civilians.
We all again for the international cooperation for the end of illegal military rule and its brutal acts of terrorism in #Myanmar.

A team of surveyors in Myanmar has completed their evaluations, confirming that the fissures resulting from the 7.7 magnitude earthquake on March 28 have extended over a remarkable distance of 500 kilometers, which equates to more than 342 miles. The earthquake was centered in Sagaing and its effects reached into the northern Bago region, as well as parts of Shan State.
This assessment highlights the extensive impact of this seismic event on the affected areas.

The military junta has conducted 11 air and artillery strikes across the country following the #EarthquakeinMyanmar on March 28 which killed over 1700 and many remain trapped under rubble according to @DVB_English.
This inhumane act should be condemned and must be ended now.
We are only receiving information from other towns in the region now. Sagaing is affected very badly too but the people there do not have internet access.
Junta shut down internet access in many places in Sagaing and Mandalay regions, as the resistance is very strong there.
More than 1,000 people are now known to have died in Myanmar’s earthquake and the search goes on. Meanwhile, the junta is reported to have continued air strikes against people’s forces even in affected areas. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar

☑️ 24 March 2025
Two fighter jets from the Myanmar Air Force (MAF) allegedly conducted three airstrikes on Na That village and around the area in Pauk township between 12:34 and 12:37 local time on 24 March 2025.
Local news reports claim that fighter jets from Meiktila airbase and Magway airbase conducted the attacks, despite no reported clashes in the area. Four civilians were reportedly injured, and a house and motorcycle were burned in the alleged attacks.
Myanmar Witness geolocated the image of the burnt house using Google Earth and FIRMS also detected fire on 24 March in that area. The geolocation coordinates can be accessed upon request to [email protected].

Junta troops in Tanintharyi Township, Myeik District, have been arresting travelers passing through the area, and one local villager remains in detention. On the morning of March 22, soldiers arrested several travelers at the Ban La Mout village junction, including 38-year-old U Thein Zaw Htwe, also known as U Naung Pyae. Witnesses say the troops took him, but his current whereabouts are unknown.
“We saw them take him away, but we don’t know where they detained him. He was just taken without explanation,” said a local resident.
While most of the detained travelers were later released, villagers reported that U Naung Pyae was taken in the direction of Za Wae village and had not yet returned.
This is not the first such incident in the area. On March 10, junta troops arrested more than 20 travelers at the same junction and held them for eight days before releasing them.
Since early March, military forces advancing toward Nyaung Pin Kone village have set up operations in the Ban La Mout village tract. Local sources report that the troops have been firing artillery and small arms almost every night, heightening fear and insecurity among civilians in the area.
Dr. Thiha Tin Tun, 27, from Mandalay was among over 100 civilians gunned down by security forces on this day in 2021, the bloodiest Armed Forces Day in the country’s history. He was fatally shot while helping to build a roadblock to protect protesters. #WhatsHappeningInMyanmar
In just one week, four civilians—including a pregnant woman—were tragically killed by artillery shelling from junta forces in Tanintharyi Township, Myeik District.
Troops stationed in Thein Khun village reportedly fired heavy artillery toward nearby areas, with shells landing in Chaung Lamu village, located across from Thein Khun. The strikes resulted in multiple civilian casualties.
On March 21, around 3:00 PM, as residents of Chaung Lamu were transporting rice after fleeing earlier clashes, artillery shells struck the group. Among those killed were Daw Mi Mea, a 35-year-old pregnant woman, and her brother U Thaung Pu, 38.
“They were just trying to transport rice for survival after escaping the fighting. They died together,” said a resident from Thein Khun village.
Two other men from Chaung Lamu, aged 25 and 26, were severely injured during the same attack. One of them succumbed to his injuries later that evening.
Earlier that week, on March 16, a 40-year-old man from Chaung Lamu village was also killed instantly when another round of junta shelling hit the area.
Since March 17, intensified artillery shelling and airstrikes have forced nearly all residents of Chaung Lamu to flee, seeking safety and emergency shelter elsewhere.
Heavy fighting between junta forces and local resistance groups has continued in Thein Khun village tract since late December. Over the past week alone, Thein Khun, Chaung Nya Pauk, and Chaung Lamu villages have been targeted by near-daily airstrikes, with junta aircraft carrying out at least 14 bombing raids.
