Meet Lucia Zacchi @LFZ015, @CBI_ITTC postdoc working on the development of antibodies and proteomic characterization of biopharmaceuticals. Luci is the third in our series of researcher interviews, and her passion for STEM shines through her work every day. Questions below!
Excited to share our most recent publication where we propose a mechanism that may modulate the oligomerisation properties of torsinA, a AAA+ ATPase involved in the debilitating neurological disease Early Onset Torsion Dystonia. Short summary below 🧵

Lucía Zacchi @LFZ015 from @CBI_ITTC presents work done @QUT about the potentials of Biopharming to produce complex biopharmaceuticals and biologics in plants (e.g. edible crops for oral delivery without the need for protein purification).
Monitoring glycosylation and other modifications for bioprocessing optimisation of recombinant biopharmaceuticals @LFZ015#AGS2019 https://t.co/lRjxcTu2Bn
Great work Ruby, @cassandrapegg@LFZ015@noatgnuhp, Chris, and @CSL collaborators Ping, Matt, and Cathy! We use mild acid hydrolysis to remove polysialic acid from glycopeptides to infer site occupancy. Hopefully a useful analytical method for this important glycan structure.
Our new #glycotime preprint! Great work from @noatgnuhp and @LFZ015 on tools for mining DIA-MS data for glycosylation and other post-translational modifications
