Today, I submitted my letter of intent to resign effective Sept. 17, 5 PM.

It is with bittersweet emotion that I submit my resignation.

I thank Nevadans - south, north, rural, and urban - for putting their trust in me. Though I head to DC, Nevada will remain home.

Sonny Vinuya is President and CEO of @LasVegasACC, where he represents members and community partners in government affairs, the community and economic development. He also serves as a Commissioner for Clark County Asian American Community.

I am thrilled to announce seven appointments to the Keep Nevada Working Task Force, created pursuant to @SelenaTorresNV's #AB376.

The Task Force will perform critical work to strengthen workforce development pipelines for Nevada immigrants.

Jim Sullivan is the political director for @Culinary226, the largest organization of immigrant workers in Nevada. Jim is passionate about building a powerful labor movement and advocating for immigrant rights. He is a graduate of Temple University.

In an effort to increase childhood literacy, White Pine County Library Board, @LGKateMarshall, @uwnns, & Nevada Northern Railway Foundation coordinated the donation of thousands of books to White Pine County libraries.

I spent my afternoon celebrating the 5th anniversary of the @GreatBasinNPS Observatory, the first research grade observatory in a national park. The Observatory enables researchers to explore fundamental questions about the universe and inspires students to pursue astrophysics🔭

Happy to have spent yesterday morning at Ely Renaissance Village with the phenomenal Glen Terry. The village celebrates the city’s diverse history. Make Renaissance Village a priority on your next trip to @VisitElyNevada!

As we head to @GreatBasinNPS to celebrate our #DarkSkies, a stop at Yvonne’s Hot Dogs is always a must.

The @unevadareno K-12 Robotics Center, with support from @Tesla & @EDAWNReno, will encourage interest in robotics, engineering, computer science, and automation. This is a huge step for Nevada’s students + preparing our workforce for the future.

Last night, Liberty Food and Wine Exchange graciously hosted @dwd_renosparks to celebrate the work this incredible group of individuals did at the height of the pandemic.

When faced with a challenge, Nevadans rise to the occasion.

And just like that, our COVID-19 response program has come to an end.

Through a collaboration between the @LGKateMarshall, @uwnns , Reno Local Food Group, @MoonridgeGroup, and @gocopia, we delivered more than 80,000 meals since launching May 4

As you can tell, I get really excited about higher education. @WNCnevada is an excellent institution that provides a critical service to our state. Thank you Dr. Solis and the entire staff for a lovely tour today!
