16 yr old who is dump, caretaker reports to have found his pants stained that's when they got to know and forced to check him. O.E there is only inguinal lymphadenopathy, HCT and RPR are negative. What is the most likely Dx?
Finally, Govt’ has acknowledged that all medical interns require facilitation, and is now going to reinstate the 1m allowance per month to each medical intern.
However, going forward, there ought to be a discussion on increasing the 1m, given the rising cost of living and inflation over the years.

Uganda’s young doctors have been humiliated 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵!
Medical interns provide essential services to Ugandans, yet in an attempt to evade the moral responsibility of paying them, they are now being conveniently labelled “students.”
@MinofHealthUG, take note of the position of Uganda’s doctors:
𝟭. 𝗨.𝗠.𝗔 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘀 until clear, formal communication is issued regarding their allowances and welfare.
𝟮. 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗱. We reject any attempt to pay only those who were formerly government-sponsored while abandoning their formerly privately-sponsored colleagues. They hold the same qualifications, perform the same duties and serve the same Ugandan patients.
𝟯. If these concerns remain unresolved, 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝗨𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 their 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝟭𝟰 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟲 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗶𝗱𝗻𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁.
𝟰. 𝗔𝗻𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁, 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 or 𝗽𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻 for declining to report for "slavery" will trigger immediate industrial action by doctors across Uganda.
To the Ugandan public, please understand this:
𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. They are qualified doctors, nurses and pharmacists undergoing supervised professional apprenticeship while providing healthcare services.
If Government chooses not to resolve this matter fairly, ethically and urgently, disruption of public health services may become unavoidable. We urge @GovUganda to act now, before patients are made to bear the consequences of a preventable crisis.
Service with Honour.

The rule of law cannot mean respecting courts only when their decisions favour us. If a judicial officer acted beyond their powers, the law provides remedies - challenge, review, stay or appeal.
Defend @SpireJim, fund his legal defence and criticise the decision robustly. But declaring court orders “illegal” and calling for “aggressive” resistance before exhausting lawful remedies undermines the very rule of law we claim to defend.
Academic freedom, access to justice and judicial independence must all be protected. No individual or institution is above scrutiny, but neither should disagreement with a ruling become a licence to delegitimise @JudiciaryUG.
Challenge decisions through the law. Defend institutions through the Constitution
Thank You, Your Excellency YK Museveni
I sincerely thank H.E. President #YoweriKagutaMuseveni for appointing me Minister of State for Gender, Labour and Social Development (Employment and Industrial Relations). I am humbled by this confidence and pledge to serve Uganda with integrity, dedication, and commitment. Grateful to the Bamasaaba community and all Ugandans for their support. For God and My Country.
I was pleased to engage with the Parliamentary Committee on Appointments, chaired by the Rt. Hon. Speaker of Parliament. Our discussions focused on key issues shaping Uganda’s labour sector, including labour externalization, worker protection, skills development, employment opportunities, and strengthening governance within the industry. I appreciate the Committee’s insightful engagement and commitment to advancing policies that promote decent work and sustainable employment outcomes for Ugandans.
Medical interns are doctors under apprenticeship, not free labour.
Unpaid internship is not reform. It is exploitation.
Pay interns. Protect training. Protect patients.
//END//
1. Limited consultation
2. Changing medical course from 5 to 6 yrs requires change of curriculum
3. UMDPC doesn't license Medical Students
4. Don't send unpaid, hungry & disenfranchised medical trainees on citizens
THE DRACONIAN SHAMBOLIC TRAINING POLICY IS DEAD ON ARRIVAL.
5% Dextrose for breakfast, lunch & super, then sleep on the coach for the night.
That's how the 36 hr shift is supposed to be covered by an intern with poor parents.
@MinofHealthUG be fair.
@TheUMAofficial will stand with @OfficialFUMSA to fight this draconian shambolic policy
🔥 Now that Okello has been sentenced ( I think he is mentally ill) and the Sovereignty Bill is being messaged (the spirit and intent are still the same)!
🔥 Can we please take some time and focus on the plight of medical interns in Uganda? Can we first fix what is broken?
