A giant sinkhole with an ancient forest inside found in China
A team of Chinese scientists has discovered a giant new sinkhole with a forest at its bottom. The sinkhole is 630 feet deep, according to the Xinhua news agency.
Members of our Motorcycle Section traveled to Albany today for the New York State Police Memorial Service. This year, SCPD Lieutenant Robert Van Zeyl was added to the memorial wall among the other fallen heroes from across the state.
In recognition of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, the SCPD and Suffolk County Crime Stoppers are featuring unsolved cases in an effort to bring justice to the victims and their families.

SCPD remembers Police Officer John Jantzen who died 4/21/91. PO Jantzen was off-duty when he heard gunfire in a Lake Grove restaurant. PO Jantzen rushed to offer assistance & the subject killed him as he entered the building. Officer Jantzen was survived by his wife & infant son.
