Two football-mad brothers determined to clean up the world! Keep Britain Tidy Young #LitterHeroes Winners 2022, Kent Youth County Council members β½β»οΈ π¬π§ πͺπ¬
@frankwrighter@pricklelodge It's not only the hedgehog who takes advantage of the water bowls here! All cleaned and topped up again every evening π¦π€
@DeniseW35985649@Natures_Voice@WildlifeMag It was so good to see the variety! And since we posted, we've also had our robin pop in and a magpie! Very glad we left the hedgehog cameras on this morning β€οΈ
@HedgehogCabin Ahh, thank you! Well, the camera is trained on the entrance for nightfall, so hopefully we will find out! He does appear to have made his way fully indoors - the camera just triggered and it turned out to just be a different kind of visitor! π€
It wasn't a one-off, these two appear to be housemates. The camera showed them going in and out all night and finally going to bed at 5.20 and 5.26 (amazingly the camera changed from dark to light in those 6 minutes!). @HedgehogCabin - this is the first time we've seen sharing π€
We thought this hedgehog box was empty and wanted to check before cleaning it and repositioning it... So glad we moved a camera to face the box entrance tonight to check, just to make sure! π¦π¦π€π€ #hedgehogs
We spent the last week visiting Dubrovnik, Mostar and Sarajevo, and what we saw there will stay with us forever. How could it not? Our visits to the Museum of War Childhood & the Museum of Crimes Against Humanity were heartbreaking but so important to keep sharing & remembering.
@Taj_Ali1 We just got back from there yesterday. We left a piece of our heart in Sarajevo - all the post-it notes asking when "Never again!" will actually mean "Never again" π
@ajgsevenoaksfty@KeepBritainTidy It looked bad from the car but even worse on ground levek when we got there to clear it! It'll be bad again in a couple of weeks, someone must go there to have their lunch every day, we think.
Yesterday, without football, was the perfect time to do something positive at Tonbridge's grimmest roundabout! We saw up close just how heartbreakingly dangerous littering is to the innocent wildlife living alongside us. Litter kills! @KeepBritainTidy
@HedgehogCabin We are honestly so happy! We don't recognise her, so that's also a good sign (our last two regular females had distinctive dark facial markings!) We've just topped up the bowls and moved cameras into prime positions and are looking forward to the morning footage review!
A lesson in patience! We've not had a hedgehog sighting since September π but all through winter left out fresh water and biscuits, just in case, and the magpies & blackbird have polished them off. We just had a sudden urge to check last night's footage... π€π€ @HedgehogCabin
@SophiaSmith222@HedgehogCabin We were thinking the same, but just kept a tiny bit of hope and hated the idea of giving up on them if they ever came back and found the bowls empty! We really hope yours find their way back to your garden v soon π€π€
