Very excited and honoured to be an invited speaker for the 3rd annual FIT'NG conference. It's an amazing group of researchers focusing on neuroimaging of early development using EEG, fNIRS, fMRI/MRI, ultrasound. Hope to see you there!
📢Dr. Lauren Emberson @LLEmberson is the invited speaker for our annual conference's scientific session on "Early Cognitive Development".
⏰Join us in Baltimore, Sept 25 - 26, 2024.

Infant perceptual systems are sophisticated and dynamic when they are able to predict. While this ability is present in neonates, it may also be sensitive to experience. How to now expand to investigate during an infant’s daily experiences?
2) post-doctoral scholar with experience in fMRI analysis to work on multiple NIH-funded projects aimed at identifying brain-based markers of cultural identity & cognitive processes relevant to mitigation of mental health and substance use disorders
3) Research Assistant to support NIH-funded community-engaged research protocols that span focus groups and qualitative data collection to multimodal functional neuroimaging sessions.
I love the writing accountability and supportive community at the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity. If you're curious, check out their 14 day writing challenge. Starting Oct 9th. Free. I'll be doing it: https://t.co/XJBMUrhYZY

Totally agree. It is terrifying that climate change is human caused but that also means (at this point) the solution is also humans. I believe that we can fix this. It won't be easy but the best things in life never are, right?
Climate change is real. The warming we’ve observed is entirely human-caused.* Its impacts are serious, including making heat waves, wildfires, hurricanes, droughts and floods more severe and more dangerous.** But there are solutions and we can fix it.*** 💪🌱
With wildfires threatening cities from Yellowknife to Kelowna, Canada's climate crisis has reached a terrifying new pitch.
But @solmamakwa and Indigenous leaders insist there's another way: stop building pipelines, invest in alternatives, and respect Indigenous rights.
Looking like an amazing workshop. I'll be out of the office, otherwise I'll definitely be there. @ProfSamWass@LaraJPierce thanks for sharing your great work with the field.
It’s not too late to register, ICIS webinar: Cutting edge approaches in developmental EEG. Looking forward to presentations by Lindsay Bowman, Sam Wass @profsamwass, Lara Pierce @LaraJPierce. July 31. Registration is FREE for ICIS members! More info at https://t.co/x49zP0L0d7
Our lab is celebrating some newly minted Master's students! Congratulations to Maria Clara (
