EVERY PENNY MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Today alone, Dogs on the Streets has spent a huge £2,424.20
These essential costs included:
🐶 Veterinary care for our dogs 🗑 Waste & rubbish removal 🪟 Installing windows for improved shelter and warmth in the kennel block 🔒 Adding extra security runs to help keep our kennel dogs safe
None of these are “extras” they are necessities to keep vulnerable dogs safe, healthy, warm, and cared for while they wait for their forever homes.
Support never stops, and neither do the bills. Every donation, no matter how small, helps us recover these costs so we can continue funding the other urgent areas we desperately need support for , including food, vet care, rehabilitation, transport etc.
Without your support, we simply couldn’t continue helping the dogs who need us most.
If you are able to donate or share this post, it would mean the world to us and to every dog currently in our care.
Thank you for standing beside us, supporting rescue, and helping us give these dogs the second chance they deserve.

Today was a very humbling day for all of us at Dogs on the Streets.
Firstly, I want to say a huge thank you to @Marion1Garnett for inviting us back again this year to the Animal Fair in Ealing .
Your support truly means so much to our small charity.
I’d also like to apologise to anyone who listened to my talk today… yes, I did end up in tears. The reason is simple , I care deeply about this charity and the dogs & humans we help, and right now we are facing an extreme financial crisis.
When you are passionate about something like this, your day doesn’t end at 5pm. It’s 24/7. It’s sleepless nights, constant worry, and many tears. Some days I feel like I’m failing the very dogs we are trying so hard to help .
The thought that we might have to close keeps me awake at night.
We are a very small charity run by volunteers, and currently we have 81 dogs in our care across two sanctuaries.
Every penny we raise goes directly to the dogs, which means we simply don’t have the financial resources to employ staff to help with things like fundraising or grant applications.
I am mentally and physically exhausted, and if I’m honest, I probably spend 70% of my day crying right now.
But what keeps us going are the dogs and the incredible people who came to speak to me after the talk today. Your kindness and support meant more than I can ever explain. You brought the tears again, but this time they were tears of gratitude.
Right now we need help more than ever.
If anyone has ideas for fundraising, experience with grant applications, or time to volunteer and support our small team, please reach out to us. Your support could make the difference between us continuing our work… or having to close our doors.
The saddest thought I had while leaving the Animal Fair today was that we might not be back next year 🧡
We’re so sorry for the recent silence. The past few weeks have been incredibly difficult for us at Dogs on the Street.
Unfortunately, we’ve experienced a serious and unexpected financial setback involving outstanding funds owed to us by a local authority. As this matter is now in the hands of our legal team, we’re unable to share further details at this time.
What we can say is that the situation has placed enormous strain on our charity. Without a resolution very soon, we may not be able to continue operating beyond March. This is heartbreaking for us, especially knowing how many vulnerable dogs and owners rely on our support.
If you are in a position to donate or share our appeal, your support would mean more than we can express. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help us fight to keep Dogs on the Street going during this incredibly challenging time.
Thank you for standing with us. We truly couldn’t do this without you. Thank you so much @KmcLegal for helping us with this matter 🧡

Dogs on the Streets – We Want Change
We are speaking up. We are being heard. And we are not backing down.
Over the last few days, our voices have reached commissioners, MPs, and today I sat in a meeting with four senior council figures. This is no longer being ignored.
Due to an ongoing internal investigation and safeguarding review, I’m unable to go into detail right now ,but please know this, real concerns have been acknowledged, and changes have been openly recognised today as necessary.
This fight is about accountability. It’s about protecting. And it’s about fixing what is not working.
We will continue to push. We will continue to challenge. And we will continue to stand up for those who cannot speak for themselves.
Change WILL come, and we will make sure it lasts. 🧡🦋

Today, we share Nugget’s story.
Meet Nugget, a 12 month old Dachshund X who has just been surrendered to our sanctuary, leaving behind a life he so desperately cherished.
His arrival here is a bittersweet reminder that sometimes, life takes a turn we never expect.
Now, Nugget finds himself in a kennel alone, his spirit sadly dimmed
The transition from home to kennel is daunting for any dog, but for Nugget, the absence of the companionship he once relied on makes this experience all the more heartbreaking. He is currently in shutdown mode, his personality hidden beneath layers of uncertainty.
As a RARE singleton puppy, Nugget missed out on vital opportunities to learn basic canine communication and behavioral coping skills from littermates, which can potentially set him up for frustration and sensitivity to handling later in life. Due to this, we are looking for a very special adopter or foster home for him.
He yearns for the stability and love that every dog deserves, along with the guidance needed to help him blossom into the companion he has the potential to be.
This precious boy needs extra patience and care to help him navigate his new reality.
Even with an incredible welfare team dedicating hours to show him that he can trust them, we worry that, within the confines of kennel life, his spirit may begin to fade.
Nugget deserves a family who will embrace his uniqueness, cherish his journey, and help him discover the joy of companionship, & we will be there to help guide them every step of the way.
If you would like to register your interest in Nugget, please email into us at [email protected]
His full information will be live on our website within the next few days .

On Wednesday the Turkish parliament will vote on amendments to the existing animal protection bill The government wants to legalize killing stray animals, ban people from feeding/taking care of stray animals and allowing stray animals to be used as medical test subjects.
The world is watching Turkey if they condemn hundreds of thousands of dogs to death it will be a lasting shame on the nation @RTErdogan@Turkey #Turkey
We have dropped down a place 😭
We need 36 votes to get back up to position 14, will you help?

We are finding it extremely difficult to maintain the high levels of wet food for the dogs in our foster care. Therefore, we are slowly transitioning them over to dried food but would like to add a little extra topping with salmon fish oil. This will hopefully also entice the more fussy ones that dried food can be just as tasty.
We have added a few to our Amazon Wish List, and we would be so grateful if you could help us with purchasing one.
We are always looking at options in the best interest of the dogs diet, hence, needing to be able to maintain a stable diet, which we feel would be more beneficial by transitioning onto just dried.

❗️we need your help more than ever❗️
We use your kind donations for the core reason of the charity, the care of the dogs and their owners.
We have a sanctuary to maintain with high overheads, vet meds to buy and vet bills to pay. There is NO directors paid ,the vet team volunteer as do our frontline team.
A one off donation or monthly direct debit helps us immensely to help all our clients and their dogs.
We do not receive any funding from services who use our charity nor the government.
Be it a £1, £5 ,£10 or more it will all help us immensely.
Its a worrying time, our community would suffer immensely without our care, support, service and being a 24/7 response team that also supports London hospitals , London ambulance , police , mental health crisis team, domestic violence services.
We like our clients need help.
Below are ways that you can donate to us and we and all the little paws thank you so much for your kindness and support.
