Prime Minister @narendramodi 's recent remarks on the Shakti scheme are unscientific and baseless .

Shakti scheme, a flagship programme of Govt.of Karnataka towards empowering women offering free bus travel, has proved to be a role model for other states to emulate given its reach and results boosting women empowerment and gender equity.

This scheme touched the lives of women in many areas by fostering greater female participation in the workforce and enhancing their socio-economic mobility.

A research study by Fiscal Policy Institute [Govt. of Karnataka undertaking] has revealed that the Scheme helped women to improve their family relations, save significant money, easier access to medical care etc. The study indicated a significant increase in GST collections in the State and increasing female participation in the labour force.
This unexpected outcome underscores the broader economic benefits of empowering women, who would subsequently contribute more actively to the formal economy.

Public Transport is the life line for many of the cities especially in rural areas. Mobility is one of the key areas for Nation Building activity. In most of the smaller cities and towns with the absence of metro systems, public transport buses fulfill the objective of providing mobility to the common people.

Shakti scheme, which leverages existing bus networks, provides a pragmatic solution to address mobility challenges for women across diverse urban as well as rural landscape.

By prioritizing accessibility and affordability for women, the Shakti scheme aligns with broader sustainable development goals, including gender equality and environmental stewardship, reduces congestion. Rather than viewing it solely through the lens of fiscal concerns, PM Modi should have recognized the scheme's integral role in fostering inclusive growth and sustainable development rather than politicising it.

It is indeed proved that the Shakti scheme exemplifies a forward-thinking approach to mobility and inclusive development across the state.

ಈಜಿಪುರ - ಕೇಂದ್ರೀಯ ಸದನ ಮೇಲ್ಸೇತುವೆ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಇಂದು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸಚಿವ ಸಂಪುಟ ಸಭೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅನುಮೋದನೆ ದೊರೆತಿದೆ.

ಈಜಿಪುರದಿಂದ ಕೇಂದ್ರೀಯ ಸದನ ಮೇಲ್ಸೇತುವೆ 2.40 ಕಿಮೀ ಉದ್ದವಿದ್ದು, ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಮತ್ತು ಪೂರ್ವ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಕಾರಿಡಾರ್ ಇದಾಗಿದೆ.

ಹಿಂದೆ 2017ರಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಸಿದ್ದರಾಮಯ್ಯ ನವರು ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಈ ಯೋಜನೆ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗಿ ಉತ್ತಮ ರೀತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ನಡೆದಿತ್ತು. ತದನಂತರ ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ನೀಡದ ಕಾರಣ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ನೆನೆಗುದಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿತ್ತು.

ಈಗ ಮತ್ತೆ 2023ರಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀ @siddaramaiah ನವರೇ ಮತ್ತೆ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯಾಗಿ ಮತ್ತು ಶ್ರೀ @DKShivakumar ಅವರು ಉಪ-ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಯಾಗಿ ಈ ಮೇಲ್ಸೇತುವೆ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಅನುಷ್ಠಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಈ ಯೋಜನೆ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡ ನಂತರ ವಾಹನ ಸಂಚಾರ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಸುಗಮವಾಗಲಿದೆ.

🔹The State Cabinet has cleared the Ejipura-Kendriya Sadana elevated project.

The Ejipura - Kendriya Sadana flyover is a 2.40 km long corridor connecting South and East Bengaluru.

The project was started in 2017 when Sri Siddaramaiah was Chief Minister. The work was progressing well, but it came to a standstill when the BJP government came to power.

The project has now been again revived in 2023 by the Chief Minister Sri @siddaramaiah and Deputy CM Sri @DKShivakumar.

Once completed, the flyover will help to ease traffic congestion.

ಶಕ್ತಿ ಯೋಜನೆ ಜಾರಿಯಾದ ದಿನ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸಂತಸದಿಂದ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಬಸ್ಸಿನ ಮೆಟ್ಟಿಲುಗಳಿಗೆ ನಮಸ್ಕರಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಬೆಳೆಸಿದ್ದ ಬೆಳಗಾವಿ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಸಂಗೊಳ್ಳಿಯ ಸಂಗವ್ವ ಅವರನ್ನು ಇಂದು ಕಲರ್ಸ್ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಅನುಬಂಧ ಅವಾರ್ಡ್ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಭೇಟಿಯಾದದ್ದು ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಚ್ಚರಿ ಮತ್ತು ಖುಷಿಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಸಾರ್ಥಕ್ಯದ ಭಾವ ಮೂಡಿಸಿತು.

ಮಹಿಳೆಯರ ಸಬಲೀಕರಣಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವು ಬೆಂಬಲವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಬೇಕು ಎನ್ನುವ ಕಾಳಜಿಯಿಂದ ಜಾರಿಗೆ ತಂದಿರುವ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಯೋಜನೆಯ ಮೊದಲ ದಿನವೇ ಸಂಗವ್ವ ಅವರಿಂದ ದೊರೆತ ಪ್ರತಿಕ್ರಿಯೆ ಕಂಡು ನಮ್ಮ ಯೋಜನೆ ನೂರಕ್ಕೆ ನೂರರಷ್ಟು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಲಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಭರವಸೆ ನನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂಡಿತ್ತು.

ಈ ದಿನ ಇಂಥದ್ದೊಂದು ಭೇಟಿಯ ಅವಕಾಶ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿದ @ColorsKannada ವಾಹಿನಿಗೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು.

ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಮತ್ತು ಪೂರ್ವ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಈಜಿಪುರದಿಂದ ಕೇಂದ್ರೀಯ ಸದನದವರೆಗಿನ ಮೇಲ್ಸೇತುವೆ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಅತ್ಯಗತ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದಾಗ ಈ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಚಾಲನೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಶೇ.32ರಷ್ಟು ಕಾಮಗಾರಿ ಪೂರ್ಣಗೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಬಿಜೆಪಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ನಂತರ ಯಾವುದೇ ಪ್ರಗತಿಯಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ಈಗ ಮತ್ತೆ ನಮ್ಮದೇ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಸರ್ಕಾರವಿದ್ದು ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಯೋಜನೆ ಕಾರ್ಯಗತಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಎಲ್ಲಾ ರೀತಿಯ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಲಾಗುವುದು.
