I am happy to share that our #GWAS of human plasma #lipidome has now been published @NatureComms
We performed univariate and multivariate GWAS of 7174 Finnish individuals.

Board 7021T: Plausible genetic factors mostly do not explain heterogeneity in GLP1-RA and bariatric surgery-associated weight loss in 10 000 individuals from 9 multi-ancestry biobank studies
Presenter: Jakob German @Jakob_German
Family members share quite a lot genetically and environmentally. Curious about how we quantify the resemblance using any possible genealogy-traceable relatives to study human phenotypes?Join us at Exhibit hall Board 4118w to explore our latest work! 😀 #ASHG24

Effect of parental autoimmune diseases on type 1 diabetes in offspring can be partially explained by HLA and non-HLA polymorphisms: a nationwide registry and biobank study in 7.2M Finns

Excited to attend my first #eshg2024 in Berlin and have an opportunity to present our ongoing @intervene_eu project on GxE interplay of SES and complex diseases tomorrow! Thanks to @eshgsociety & @HiLIFE_helsinki for supporting my travel!
T1D and other autoimmune diseases (AIDs) co-occur in families. How parental AIDs impact T1D risk in offspring and how much of the familial risk is explained by HLA and non-HLA variants? 👩🏻🦱🧔🏻♂️👶🏻

(2) Our study reveals genetic links between diseases and lipid species beyond the standard lipids and demonstrates the power of multivariate genetic analysis in correlated lipidomics data
