They just replace high prices with shortages.

So now you either go without, or if you really need it, having to buy it on the black market for even more.

People have been led into supporting actions that lead to catastrophe.

Don't fall for it.

The way to address high prices is to stop the two main things that cause prices to rise:

1. Inflation of the monetary supply.

2. Tax and regulatory burdens that drive up the cost of producing and distributing things.

But that doesn't fit as well on a bumper sticker as "DURRR MAKE IT COST LESS!" does.
