It was an honor to represent the southern region of the National Troopers Coalition and the Louisiana State Troopers Association during a recent visit to Washington, D.C. We thank our supportive congressional delegation and discussed issues affecting our troopers.
Having recently celebrated National Police Week, it was an honor to also celebrate with Troopers Hackney "Hack" Willis (Pres. of LA State Troopers Assn.) and Jay O'Quinn (Exec. Dir.) the profound impact of the #SocialSecurityFairnessAct on Louisiana and US law enforcement.
Today is the day! LSP Cadet Class 106 assembled this morning for their class photo. In a little over an hour, they will begin their graduation ceremonies as they near the finish line to become State Troopers.

This week we take the time to honor those peace officers who made the ultimate sacrifice. Today, Gov @JeffLandry recognized the men and women in law enforcement who work tirelessly to keep our communities safe by signing a resolution commemorating Police Week.
HB326, designating hearing loss as an occupational disease for Louisiana State Troopers, was reported favorably by the House Judiciary Committee today.

Today, the anniversary of Senior Trooper Steven Vincent’s death, we sent this letter to the Louisiana Pardon Board encouraging them to do the right thing and not grant clemency to these inmates who’ve been convicted and appropriately sentenced for their heinous crimes.
