The last rescue that was made with this ladder was in 67 from ladder 25. The last Pompier was built by duo in 2012. The hook ladder is still in use today in France.

Discipline

Door discipline is one of the hardest things for firefighters to maintain.

There’s no need to fill the house with so many people that you can’t work.

The old saw tooth Pompier is no longer in production, but is still used by many departments as a confidence builder.

The arch style hook ladder is not only safer for climbing and building confidence but it’s still in production today after 195 years of use.

@joecharley We don’t. I train departments and at conferences with it. I had this one built in France to show how functional this ladder is. My vision and goal is to start building them here in the US soon.

Next month will be 4 years of MCTA! We’ve grown and we’re definitely attempting to get completely out of our comfort zone.

Today I saw a saying by Clive Baker- You just have to trust your own madness.

And that’s what we’re doing trusting our madness!

After long talks with friends and family. We have decided to build our ladder ourself!

This is not going to be easy, will be hard and at times will be very difficult.

But, with some guidance what we are looking at doing is a Kickstarter to jump things off!

We have been taught that the Pompier ladder was built in France. As, this is true it’s not the style of ladder that we come to think of.

It was in 1824 the arch style hook ladder was built in France.

It was in 1828 the single hook Pompier Ladder was built in Germany
