The Houthi blockade of Israeli ships or ships moving towards Israel is causing heavy losses outside the Red Sea as well.

The ship "ULTRA GALAXY" has crashed and sunk, and another ship has lost nearly 40 containers that fell into the sea due to unexpected severe weather off the coast of South Africa, near the Cape of Good Hope.

These ships now use the longer route, bypassing all of Africa and avoiding the Red Sea.

Shipments to Europe are delayed for months and prices have already increased several times, causing huge negative consequences on the already high inflation.
