Ten years ago today, I signed the Affordable Care Act into law. It protected preexisting conditions, cut the uninsured rate in half, and lots more. But it's still under political attack right when we need care the most. We have to protect it, build on it, until we cover everyone.
Last night, @JoeBiden expressed concern over the potential cost of Medicare for All & the security of people’s health plans. I recognize these arguments because I helped craft them when I ran PR as an insurance exec. As a result, I feel obligated to set the record straight. (1/5)

@WestLADemClub@DebDingell To address our crisis, a health care plan:
1) Must guarantee quality health care to EVERYONE
2) Take on the out-of-control costs and administrative waste of the current system
#MedicareForAll is the only plan that actually does both of these things.
@WestLADemClub@DebDingell I'm not naive. Nothing big and necessary in this country has ever happened without a real fight from the entrenched establishment interests - and this will be no exception.
We have to be bold. We have to organize, fight and demand health care as a human right.
Our money should be going to ensuring every person in this country can receive the care they need, not to an insurance company CEO’s multi-million dollar compensation package

'Medicare for Some' does not address the unsustainable cost increases in our for-profit health care system.
Only #MedicareForAll will bring down national health spending and guarantee health care as a human right for everyone in America. https://t.co/Ot6jGuqg85
Labor unions are joining the fight to win #MedicareForAll because organized workers understand that by de-linking healthcare from employment status, it increases the power of working people.
