We also discussed our conference plans and upcoming projects.
We are excited to be setting up two Taskforces looking into Men’s Mental Health and Maternal Mental Health.
If interested in getting involved, please do reach out.

We had our latest Team Meeting this weekend, which started on a particularly sombre note as our first meeting without @draysharaza
We dedicated a minute silence to her memory reflecting on all her amazing contributions to health care advocacy.

Politics has been brutal and bleak recently.
Shout out to all labour candidates who are probably feeling a post election slump whatever the results tonight.
Self care to all activists over the next few weeks 🌹
It’s hard to see someone go through so much pain. But to also have the courage to be so open and vulnerable; I’m kind of floored.
Being a survivor is a horrendous journey and it’s not a glamorous one. For Charlotte Nichols to have gone through is just beyond admirable.
It’s never easy to share experiences of the dreaded s word (sectioning) or the r word. but every time we talk about it we normalise it and reduce the stigma.
I won’t lie that I teared up seeing her speech today.
Thank you Charlotte 🙏
We are in complete awe of the bravery of Charlotte Nichols MP today.
Thank you for sharing your mental health journey which we know will have touched so many people; her courage has given strength to so many people who are navigating through the trauma of being a survivor.

As we grieve today, may we also remember the good times and how privileged we all were to have known, loved and worked with her.
@DrAyshaRaza one of a kind.
Thank you for lighting up on world with all the joy you brought to life and our campaign.

Whenever we needed @DrAyshaRaza
she was there, whether that was to work the conference stall, speak on a panel, phone around MPs, share social media posts, she was the ultimate inspiring activist.
One of those hard working stalwarts who just got in with the job
We had our final meeting with @DrAyshaRaza just two weeks ago and the joys of zoom highlighted her, if only we knew it would be our last ever photo together.
We know so many people knew and loved Aysha for the wonderful, kind hearted, smart and wonderful person she really was
Our Labour family is in an absolute state of shock and devastation following the news of @DrAyshaRaza
passing last night. One of the original OGs of LCMH.
Our campaign would simply not be what it is without her activism and relentless support over the years.
Saddened to learn of the passing of Cllr @DrAyshaRaza.
Aysha was a committed campaigner for disability rights and mental health support, and one of the founders of @Labour_MH where I had the pleasure of campaigning alongside her. May she rest in peace.
Team LCMH had our first meeting of the New Year whereby we discussed our upcoming including our Parliamentary Reception to celebrate a decade of LCMH.
We are currently looking for sponsorship for any companies, mental health charities or trade unions who might be interesed

It shouldn't be right that suicide is one of the biggest killers of men under 50 - but sadly it is.
Our Men's Health Strategy won't just help men's mental and physical health, but also tear down the barriers that are holding back men from seeking support when they need it.
Labour's Luke Charters describes his mental health struggles and asks the PM if he agrees that the strength of a man is being open with emotions
The government will tackle challenges that "disproportionately affect men", Keir Starmer says

Teaming up with the @PremierLeague on their Together Against Suicide initiative is central to our Men's Health Strategy.
I spoke to Clarke Carlisle about his experience of mental illness 👇🏻

Many thanks to the @CoopParty Equalities Network for inviting our Director @victoriadesmond to speak at their fantastic fringe event at Conference this weekend: Co-operation, Inclusion and the Future of Mental Health
