AR/VR technology has the potential to contribute to sustainability both directly by making certain processes sustainable, and indirectly by encouraging people to adopt more sustainable lifestyles.

@ImogenSlackSmi1 This is an awesome idea Imogen! Similar to the old sticking the times tables chart on the toilet door strategy, this will definitely be educating your students without them even realising!
Would you use Virtual Reality (VR) technology in the classroom to allow your students to grasp a better understanding and a different perspective of particular environmental issues?

@PatrickMayers4 Very interesting Patrick! A game based approach could be a super effective way to increase participation and get the class more engaged! Love your work pal!
RiverSmart supplies fishing equipment for a fun day out fishing whilst educating our students on the importance of sustainable fishing and the damages overfishing causes to our rivers and oceans.
#SDG14#UonTeach#Educ4750
Teaming up with RiverSmart is a great way to get your students to see first hand the pollution levels that exist in their local river. There's no greater lesson than experience so for the students to be able to see and test the pollution levels themselves will be unreal.
#SDG14
The two targets my students will be focusing on for their #SDG14 unit of work will be (14.1 - Reduce Marine Pollution) & (14.4 - Sustainable Fishing).
What will your main targets be?
#Educ4750#UoNTeach
I think the most important focus for #SDG14 is to protect our marine life from pollution, as they can die from ingestion of plastic or get entangled in it. How do you think we could best expose our students to this issue?

Thank you for sharing Miss Lucy Thompson! I found this article very insightful and I would definitely recommend using this article to fellow teachers perhaps in a stage 3 setting.

Have a read of this article. It’s very informative and educational. It addresses plastic and how it affects our oceans. Great resource for the classroom. #SDG#SDG14#lifebelowwater https://t.co/IGQRWOMoCE
@chelsseck @netflix Holy Hector! That is very concerning. This is definitely something our future generation needs to learn about sooner rather than later. Thanks for sharing!
@Alicia08898047 Totally agree! Much more suitable for stage 3. No, I haven't had the opportunity to utilise this in the classroom yet but look forward to!
SEASPIRACY IS FINALLY HERE!
As someone passionate about ocean life, I set out to document the harm that humans do to marine species, but instead, I uncovered an alarming global corruption..
#seaspiracy@GeorgeMonbiot@cyrillgutsch@seashepherd
Wow! Who better than the man himself David Attenborough to give our students a greater insight on the dangers of overfishing and what we need to do to stop this issue.
What do you think?
