Delighted my Short Story ‘Big Boys Cry’ came 2nd in the 2022 Michael Mullan Charity Fund Competition judged by @NiamhBoyce. Plot twist - @poilin presented the awards, her classes helped me write the first draft! I read it nervously at #KRF2022, read it on the MMCF website soon.
While we all quite rightly celebrate the success of the Irish screen sector this weekend, I'm so pleased @IrishTimes has published my thoughts on how we can build on it, and give our creative community the support it so desperately needs.
This is class👏

Tina Turner was raw. She was powerful. She was unstoppable. And she was unapologetically herself—speaking and singing her truth through joy and pain; triumph and tragedy. Today we join fans around the world in honoring the Queen of Rock and Roll, and a star whose light will never fade.
What a special evening to celebrate #StBrigid@moattheatre with @hotpress & @KildareCoCo. Amazing performances from a talented and beautiful bunch of Irish women artists 💕💕
