Christopher Hitchens: ”In 1786, when the United States was barely a country, it was having its sailors taken as slaves by the Barbary states, the states of the Ottoman Empire and North Africa. Tripoli, shores of Tripoli. Ships stopped, its crews carried off into slavery. We estimate 1.5 million European and American slaves taken between 1750 and 1815.
Jefferson and Adams went to their ambassador in London and said, why do you do this to us? The United States has never had a quarrel with the Muslim world of any kind. We weren't in the crusades. We weren't at war with Spain. Why do you do this to our people and our ships? Why do you plunder and enslave our people? The ambassador said very plainly, Mr. Abdul Rahman said, because the Quran gives us permission to do so, because you are infidels, and that's our answer. Jefferson said, well, in that case, I will send a navy which will crush your state, which he did.
Islamic fundamentalism is not created by American democracy. It's a lie to say so. It's a masochistic lie, and it excuses those who are the real criminals, and blames us for the attacks made upon us.”
A marriage is a covenant, not a contract.
A contract says, I’ll do my part as long as you do yours. It’s conditional. If one party stops performing, the other is released from their obligation. Contracts exist because they protect people who cannot fully trust one another. They define responsibilities, assign consequences, and provide a way to enforce the agreement when someone fails to keep their word.
A covenant is different. It doesn’t begin with conditions; it begins with a promise. It says, I’m all in. Not “as long as.” Not “provided that.” Just, I choose you.
That doesn’t mean a covenant ignores failure or pretends people won’t disappoint each other. It means the relationship itself isn’t built on constantly evaluating whether the other person has earned your love today. It rests on a promise freely made and freely kept. And that kind of promise can only run on love.
Human beings have a built-in blind spot: we witness every sacrifice we make, but only a fraction of the sacrifices someone else makes for us. You know every time you got up early, every errand you ran, every time you bit your tongue, every burden you carried without anyone noticing. Your spouse knows all of theirs. But neither of you sees the whole picture.
That means two genuinely loving people can both become convinced they’re carrying more than half the marriage. Not because either is selfish, but because memory naturally favors our own experience over someone else’s.
That’s why scorekeeping slowly poisons marriages. It creates resentment without requiring either spouse to have bad intentions.
Gratitude breaks that cycle by forcing us to reverse our attention. Instead of asking, What hasn’t my spouse done for me today? gratitude asks, What have they done that I almost overlooked? That shift sounds small, but it changes the entire atmosphere of a marriage. Attention shapes affection. The things we consistently notice become the things we appreciate, and the things we appreciate makes us love.
Both simply become eager to bless the other, and almost without realizing it, they end up giving each other far more than fairness ever required.
The manosphere often presents marriage as a series of negotiated obligations. The husband provides, therefore the wife owes submission, service, loyalty, and gratitude. If either side fails, the agreement has been broken.
Strip away the podcast branding, and what remains is simply a contract.
The problem is that behavior and love are not the same thing. A wife who acts a certain way because she’s afraid of conflict, rejection, or consequences has complied, but compliance isn’t intimacy. You can command behavior but never love.
The opposite extreme makes the same mistake in reverse. Much of modern feminist relationship advice reduces marriage to accounting. Every chore is tracked. Every emotional burden is measured. Every forgotten appointment becomes another unpaid debt entered into the ledger.
One movement tells husbands to manage their wives. The other teaches wives to manage their husbands.
A covenant works because it starts with love. Love expresses itself through intention, and gratitude trains us to recognize that love instead of overlooking it.
Once gratitude disappears, scorekeeping naturally takes its place. Once scorekeeping takes its place, the covenant slowly becomes a contract. And a marriage built on a contract will always feel like something is missing, because the very thing marriage was designed to protect was never obligation. It was freely chosen love.
Love first. Gratitude every day. Right intention behind every act. replace covenant with contract. Both assume the health of a marriage depends primarily on whether everyone’s obligations are being equally fulfilled.
But both overlook the one thing that actually gives those actions their meaning: intention.
And in marriage, faith, and I would argue in everything we do, it’s all about intention.
Love first. Gratitude every day.
Communism is not a political philosophy; it is a profound declaration of war against human nature, excellence, and spiritual truth.
The democratic process has become an engine for a terrifying pathological movement. When you look at the modern left, you are not looking at a legitimate political alternative; you are looking at a calculated assault on reality itself. They do not win at the ballot box through superior ideas or economic viability. Instead, they weaponize the darkest corners of human nature. The modern voter does not choose the left because they genuinely believe in a utopian paradise; they vote for them out of a deep, bitter hatred for beauty, excellence, and natural hierarchy. It is the resentment of the baseline mediocre looking at the exceptional and wishing to drag it down into the mud. The left understands this psychological vulnerability perfectly. They have realized that the easiest way to conquer a civilization is not through external warfare, but by validating the envy of the masses. They promise an artificial equality that can only be achieved by severing the tallest heads in the room.
To understand the terrifying mechanism of this ideology, one must analyze its deceptive moral architecture. The left cloaks itself in the language of compassion, empathy, and social justice, but this is a calculated obfuscation designed to secure raw political power. They have absolutely no intention of helping the marginalized, the poor, or the working class. To them, human suffering is merely a resource to be mined, an excuse to expand the borders of the state and diminish individual autonomy. They preach a false gospel of virtue while practicing pure, unadulterated Machtpolitik (political action by a person or group which makes use of or is intended to increase their power or influence; power politics). Once they secure control, the masks slip instantly. The compassionate advocate transforms overnight into the ruthless apparatchik, demanding total obedience to the new regime. This is the oldest trick in the political playbook, a strategy that Machiavelli exposed centuries ago: project the illusion of mercy and religious devotion while quietly preparing the tools of absolute subjugation.
The historical record of communism is not a series of noble mistakes; it is an unbroken timeline of deliberate, systemic horror. Wherever this ideological virus has infected a nation, it has followed the exact same trajectory: it lies, it cheats, it steals, and ultimately, it kills. From the frozen, brutal landscape of the Soviet gulag system to the forced starvation of the Holodomor, communism proved itself to be a meat-grinder for human souls. In Maoist China, the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution systematically dismantled thousands of years of profound culture, replacing family loyalty with state worship and resulting in the slaughter of tens of millions of innocent lives. In Cambodia, the Khmer Rouge turned entire cities into literal killing fields, execution chambers where citizens were murdered merely for wearing glasses or speaking a foreign language, a supreme crime against the state’s mandatory ignorance. This is the true face of communism: a ravenous beast that consumes its own children in a futile attempt to force reality to conform to a broken, academic theory.
"Communism is not a political philosophy; it is a profound declaration of war against human nature, excellence, and spiritual truth."
The modern apologists who sit in coddled Western universities, sipping expensive coffee while defending the virtues of Marx, deserve nothing but absolute ridicule and contempt. They are the useful idiots of our generation, individuals so profoundly disconnected from reality that they believe they would be the intellectual elite directing the utopia, rather than the first casualties lined up against the wall. They claim that true communism has never been tried, a defense so dripping with arrogance and historical illiteracy that it borders on the psychopathic. How many more millions must die before these ideological cultists admit that their system is fundamentally broken? Every single time this experiment has been run, it has resulted in economic devastation, cultural erasure, and mass graves. To support this ideology in the modern era is to display either a total absence of intellect or a terrifying desire for human suffering.
We are entering a period of existential political warfare, and we cannot afford to show an ounce of intellectual mercy to those who wish to destroy our civilization. The time for polite debate, bipartisan compromise, and gentle disagreement is entirely over. The left’s ultimate goal is the complete financial and social expropriation of everything you have built, wrapped in the guise of democratic equity. They want a society dominated by a vast, unyielding technocracy where individual merit is treated as a social crime and dependency on the state is mandatory. If we allow even a trace of this ideological poison to remain within our institutions, our schools, or our halls of governance, it will inevitably fester and destroy the nation from the inside out.
We must draw an absolute line in the sand. We will never accept the creeping tyranny of statism, we will never bow to the forced consensus of the mob, and we will never apologize for defending beauty, strength, and truth. Our objective cannot merely be to manage the decline or contain the spread of leftist ideology; our objective must be the total and complete intellectual destruction of any trace of communism within our borders. We must aggressively expose their chicanery, humiliate their pseudo-intellectual leaders, and reclaim the cultural ground that was surrendered through decades of conservative cowardice. The future of our civilization depends on our willingness to look at this terrifying threat, call it by its true name, and utterly eradicate its influence from our society once and for all.
We can and will get through this,
Blessings,
Saggezza Eterna
When my oldest was born, they refused to let me hold her because her oxygen levels were low. But I was persistent, and they eventually relented, allowing her to lay on my chest until the NICU nurse came to roll her away. When the nurse arrived, I asked that they check her oxygen levels one more time before taking her. They did. Oxygen: 100%. Perfect. The nurse shrugged and left. Our baby girl was healthy. She just needed me. My heartbeat, my warmth, my touch. She needed her mom.
Stories like this aren’t rare. Newborns need their moms to regulate their oxygen and heart rate. That’s why, when at all possible, most doctors and hospitals give baby to mom right away.
We know this when it comes to normal births, but when it comes to surrogacy - especially the kind when two men are purchasing a baby from a woman - the baby is immediately and intentionally taken away from his or her mom and given to two strangers. It is not surprising that these babies often undergo complications post-birth. Beyond that, we don’t fully know the physiological and psychological effect of robbing babies of their mothers at birth.
It’s worse treatment than we give puppies and kittens, but when it’s for “inclusion,” it’s celebrated.
Adoption is one thing - it redeems a broken situation. But surrogacy is another - it intentionally creates the broken situation.
Babies’ needs will always matter more than adults’ wants.
Lara Logan just broke down a pattern that hits different once you see it.
They keep creating problems that can never actually be solved: racism that’s “unconscious,” masculinity as inherently toxic, CO2 as the enemy even though we breathe it out, and differences turned into permanent grievances.
The goal? Issues without end. Skin color can’t change. Breathing can’t stop. Masculine instinct doesn’t vanish. So the problems stay… and so does the control.
It’s not about fixing anything. It’s about keeping the fight alive so we stay divided and easier to manage.
Once you spot the tactic, everything gets clearer.
What “unsolvable problem” have you noticed getting pushed the hardest lately?
@konstructivizm Thank you for your very informative and interesting posts. As for this post, how is our galaxy being pulled towards anything if the universe is expanding and everything is moving away from everything else?
@AGCHanaway I have read that the use of birth control pills is causing global concerns regarding the health of entire species of fish, including fish in our food chain.
@AGCHanaway Bravo! Thank you for your efforts in the service of all Missourians. That we should avoid poisoning our environment if at all possible should be agreeable by all.
When Muslims tell you Islam is a religion of peace and argue that the majority are decent people show them this video. Brigitte Gabriel responds to a question from an American Muslim Woman about why Islam is judged based on the minority extremists. At the end they ask her 'who is the head of the 'Muslim Peace Movement'
Her response says it all 'I guess i am right now' 🤷♀️
MUST WATCH: We asked the 13-year-old student who was barred from presenting her pro-life poem because it’s “offensive”, to read her poem so we can share it with the world.
PURE FIRE🔥
This is the poem @JeffcoSchoolsCo doesn’t want you to see.
Would be a shame if it went viral!
Barack Hussein Obama is bragging about his ACHIEVEMENTS with the Islamic Republic, proudly stating he did it “without firing a missile” or “killing people.”
Let’s talk about a few of his REAL achievements for the Iranian people:
Since the day in 2009 when Obama turned his back on the millions-strong uprising in Tehran, countless Iranians have been slaughtered.
• Back then, the regime didn’t have an internet kill switch.
• They hadn't built their massive underground missile cities.
• Their Shia proxies were not as developed as they are today.
• The Islamic Republic hadn't yet helped the butcher Assad massacre his own citizens in Syria.
Every dollar Obama handed to the Islamic Republic turned into bullets in the bodies of Iranian protesters and missiles raining down across the Middle East.
I’ll leave the rest of his bloody legacy to the Iranian people. I highly encourage everyone to read the Persian comments below to see what a nation truly thinks of him.
This is:
Capitol Police surveillance camera #0903, on January 6 at 5:18 a.m.,
reveals that the camera is following the FBI’s all-white “ghost bus” heading to the Capital delivering FBI informants and thugs dressed as Trump supporters.
On Jan. 6, 2021, a former FBI agent on the ground at the U.S. Capitol texted investigative journalist @paulsperry_ and confirmed that at least one “busload” of Antifa thugs infiltrated peaceful Trump demonstrators as part of a false Trump-flag operation.
GOP Rep. Higgins asks FBI Director Christina Wray point-blank if the FBI sent “ghost buses” filled with FBI informants dressed as Trump supporters to the Capitol on Jan. 6.
Watch as Democrats rush to cut off his mic—and even worse, that is exactly what the Republican chairman does.
