Thousands die from landmines every year and even more people are maimed. Half of the victims are children.

This week, the Netherlands chairs the International Anti-Landmine Conference. Together with 164 countries, we are working towards a mine-free world in 2025.

Most accidents were recorded in Syria and Afghanistan.

Mount Darwin in Zimbabwe is mine-free after 45 years. 🙌

Since 2013, HALO Zimbabwe found and destroyed 53,000 landmines.

This week, the mine-free land was handed back to the local community.
