@le_ni99@Jfcdoomblade Taking booking decisions out of the theaters' hands hurts the theaters and other smaller films. TRON: ARES was a disaster at a lot of theaters and they were forced to play it for two weeks for a full schedule regardless of if it sold tickets or was drawing.
@le_ni99@Jfcdoomblade Let me put it another way, Disney forced every first run theater to play TRON: ARES as well, threatening ZOOTOPIA 2 being withheld as collateral. This means smaller theaters with less screens had to book TRON: ARES regardless of if it would sell. That costs theaters money.
