@_AndrewLeduc Neither.
It’s the rate at which a gene is transcribed. It is one of many more factors that influence the abundance of the transcript.
But it is commonly used to describe transcript abundance.
Thanks for featuring this major breakthrough in advancing personalized precision oncology in kids beyond genome sequencing to gain additional insight through proteomics and rapid testing of treatment options in personalized xenografts.
A great team from all across Canada 🇨🇦!
🐔 @UBC & @BCCHresearch scientists are growing tumours in chicken eggs to analyze protein profiles and personalize #CancerTreatment.
The approach was led by Tariq Bhat, Drs. Georgina Barnabas, James Lim and the @Lange_Lab.

US-HUPO is offering a Rising Star Travel Award for CNPN members!
This person should be attending the next Annual US HUPO Conference in Philadelphia, PA, next February 22-26, 2025.
Deadline to apply: January 3rd 2025. More details at: https://t.co/xmiBrTGudd
Childhood cancers respond differently to treatments compared to adult cancers. With fewer options available, Dr. James Lim is developing a new way of predicting which drugs would be most effective by using chicken eggs as a host model. More: https://t.co/snwrCb7EBp

Yesterday was a night of gala and awards. From rising stars, travel to life awards. One common denominator: proteomics! We are looking forward to seeing the evolution of their careers!
CNPN 2024 - Morning sessions of Day 3 were excellent as expected! We heard spatial, single cell and targeted proteomics among other novel topics and applications!
Our Annual General Meeting is happening now by President @JGMProteomics . We are also highlighting the fantastic work of our organizers, board and sponsors. @thermofisher
CNPN 2024 - Trainee day has started! Ice breaker speaker is Mayara Silva talking about her PhD project investigating protein-protein interactions in the human fungal pathogen Cryptococcus neoformans!
@DocDellaire @majuarcaa I am not saying that you should not disclose. Of course you have to disclose if disclosure is required or you are lying.
I am questioning why the use of a ghostwriter/genAI suddenly needs to be disclosed when it is accessible to all but nobody cared when only few could afford it
@DocDellaire @majuarcaa GenAI is not different from a ghostwriter that is not attributed and does or does not plagiarize. It is the responsibility of the applicant to confirm the validity of the submitted words regardless who or what wrote them. Nothing new here.
@majuarcaa I think it makes sense to require this (and grammarly would fall under this) but mostly for entirely different reasons. We need to learn how to use it well - and only if we know how others use it can we as a community learn what works and what does not.
