We are proud to kick off our first workshop with our #YouthAgriChampions 2024 from Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, Kenya, and Rwanda. With expert speaker @elizabethnsima, President of the @eaffinfo and Director of Women Affairs at the @pafo_africa, we discussed challenges and innovative solutions of locally-led #agriculturaladaptation.

Over the summer, 18 inspiring agripreneurs from Ghana 🇬🇭, Kenya 🇰🇪, Nigeria 🇳🇬, Rwanda 🇷🇼, and Zambia 🇿🇲, will work together on a demand paper for #climatechangeadaptation in #Africa!

This paper will be presented to world leaders at #COP29 and give voice to #smallholderfarmers!

Agroecological approaches favour the use of natural processes, limit the use of purchased inputs, promote closed cycles with minimal negative externalities and stress the importance of local knowledge and participatory processes that develop knowledge and practice through experience, as well as more conventional scientific methods, and address social inequalities. Agroecological approaches recognize that agrifood systems are coupled with social–ecological systems from food production to consumption and involve science, practice and a social movement, as well as their holistic integration, to address food security and nutrition. #Agroecology
