𝗪𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗶𝗻! 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘁.
As you are probably aware by now, I have offered my candidacy for the office of President of the Republic of Kenya in the General Election of 2027.
I am not a career politician. I have lived as an active citizen since my days in primary school. I have always believed that it is our collective responsibility to leave society better than we found it, hence dedicating my life to working with other like-minded people who try to improve our condition for the common good.
I was born in Taita Taveta, raised in Nyeri and Nairobi, and like most Kenyans, I have struggled to survive. I was expelled from school at the age of 14, on the orders of a Cabinet Minister, for exposing how my fellow classmates were being exploited. I ended up on the streets hawking books to earn a living.
These experiences taught me the value of resilience. Most importantly, they did not make me a bitter person; they taught me to love. To love my country and our people, regardless of their background. And they also taught me that in order to change things for the better, one needs courage, because evil fights back.
When I told my family I wanted to run for the presidency, my son Nate wept, “Dad, don’t do it. They will kill you.” He knows about some of the many death threats I have received, as well as the arrests, beatings, torture, being shot, and the surgeries I’ve endured for standing up to power. I understand his fears but I must run, nonetheless, because my love for him and his generation overrides my own apprehension.
In the end, the good in our hearts and minds must, and will, trump the corruption, greed, and murderous inclinations of our country’s enemies – many of whom are in power.
I have offered my candidacy because I believe we can win. It won't be my victory, but our victory. In 2022, eight million Kenyans who were registered to vote shunned the ballot. They didn’t think there was anyone worth voting for, and so they stayed away. We have another 10 million unregistered Gen Z voters.
These young people need to be inspired to register as voters – and to actually vote when the time comes because they have a real opportunity to determine their future.
I have commenced listening tours to engage with Kenyans across all the counties to hear their ideas, understand their unique challenges, and collectively build our winning strategy. Together, we will produce The People’s Manifesto. I implore you to contribute to my campaign to ensure that we can make this possible. If Kenya was a safe country, I could move around with just a driver, but because of hired goons, crime, and state-directed violence I’m forced to have a security and media team traveling with me. Help me, keep me safe as l do my meet-the-people tours.
Every shilling you contribute will be used for exactly the stated purpose and be fully accounted for. One of my core values is integrity; I have never been involved with corruption, and never will. If you believe you deserve honest leadership, please donate to these efforts.
No amount is too small to make the difference we aspire for. I also urge you to share this appeal with your friends and family. Let’s give disillusioned voters a real choice and reclaim our country for the betterment of all of us, and for future generations. We must reclaim our country from the thugs and looters.
I have a team of great advisors, and we are growing the circle every day with talented and ethos-aligned Kenyans of all backgrounds. I have a small secretariat, staffed by a dedicated team who identify with our cause. They burn the midnight oil knowing that we are doing the right thing for our country. Their loyalty and dedication is a gesture of confidence.
Together, we will lead an administration of impeccable integrity and unimpeachable competence; fully committed to the rule of law, as guided by our Constitution. Pamoja Tunaweza Jenga Kenya Mpya!
I’m happy to answer any questions regarding how your contribution will be used. Let’s organize and mobilize to win the 2027 presidential elections, and build a Kenya that works for all of us. We can do this!
