@MarkTaber_FII@jimconey Yes, what justification is there for allowing these accounts to pop up, receive large transfers from various accounts and immediately empty them? If banks were made responsible for fraud they would soon find a solution.
@AlexDaviesJones@NickKristof Couldn't agree more.
The free speech/libertarian brigade are either wilfully missing the point or acting as "useful idiots" behind which other commercial interests are sheltering. We have waited too long for this Bill.

@edfryer@damiengayle@Direthoughts Thanks ✌️ we were trying to find who co-ordinated this. If you look at #onlineharms you’ll find there’s been a large number of bots sending out these tweets in addition to real accounts.
@toadmeister@JonAshworth What "pressure" could have been applied by a party that has not been in government for over 10 years? When will you start to take some responsibility for the party and the policies you support?

We don't need Zuckerberg's philanthropy. We need him to serve as a check on their propaganda.
We are OVERJOYED to announce we’ve reached our fundraising target of £10,000 to make @BookStroud FREE! Thank you everyone who has donated, a huge community effort w over 200 donations! Thank you to @LauraFoundation for matching the last flurry of donations https://t.co/f7UJfP1EmU
Seen on a list of Government consultations today. Perhaps they would like to widen the scope, @Kinsellas

@wesstreeting We have some sensible proposals at @InternetClean to reduce the incidence of both abusive/threatening language and disinformation online. Would welcome your input.
@froomkin The social media companies could do far more to help average users assess which other accounts are trustworthy. There are some sensible proposals at @InternetClean for example. Why would Twitter not take them up if it cares for its regular genuine users?
@catherinerowett@twose_brian Twitter needs to have a report button that simply says "look at the state of this".
As for the fake accounts, there are a range of sensible proposals at @InternetClean for how to deal with some of the excesses.
