@coopersampson@ABC If knives were as effective at killing people as guns, why do we arm soldiers with guns instead of knives? Or arm them with guns at all?
@coopersampson@ABC I don’t need to live in Isreal. I live in Australia where I have never once had to partake in a conversation about what to do if a shooter came to my school where I teach. I would never suggest banning all guns, we don’t even have that in Australia. Just stronger rules nationwide
@sauroke_@IfIRldThe_World @jafiny1971 @Logically_JC I don’t care if people have access to guns. People can buy guns in Australia where I live but we can’t buy the type of guns that are in the US and we have better background checks and rules. I care what type of guns and who is allowed to buy them.
@sauroke_@IfIRldThe_World @jafiny1971 @Logically_JC But guns give mentally unstable people too much power that can quickly and easily end lives. Mental health is an issue in Australia too but we don’t have the same access to guns so it doesn’t pose such a threat on society.
@sauroke_@IfIRldThe_World @jafiny1971 @Logically_JC Please share with me the last school shooting in Australia that killed even half of how many kids died in Texas.
@Letzgetcryppy @Jay_jackson89@KINGKarmaah@McmOne@POTUS Well i can tell you now we are all roaming around here not locked inside and certainly never having to worry about sending our kids to school.
@jjstep8 @multiyapples @Stonewall_19 @ABC It is an attitude difference too. In Australia, I and many people are allowed to own a gun. I know some people who do. But no one cares about them here. Guns aren’t even a conversation here until another massacre happens somewhere else. We just don’t care about guns.
