#auroraaustralis from my backyard in the Melbourne western suburbs. Blown away and glad daylight savings forced my work alarm back into dark houra. Approx 5:30am. Never expected to see such naked eye aurora colours and beams through city light pollution and morning twilight.

@nweber69 @halocme It's (loosely) like a hot air mass. IR radiation travels at the speed of light, but "hot air" moves at speeds determined by atmosphere dynamics. Similarly, magnetic fields propagate at light speed, but the magnetic forces of a CME arrive when the physical mass arrives.

@nweber69 @halocme I mean, the CME itself is plasma, with magnetic fields and flux ropes flowing along with it, so we get the aurora and magnetosphere effects on Earth when that physical plasma arrives, which has a lot more to do with solar wind and how the eruption happened.

@nweber69 @halocme The flare *is* the light, which hits Earth across a broad amount of the EM spectrum. The XRays and radio waves etc. cause issues with communication as it happens. Hours to days later the particles and magnetic flux that were also erupted arrive.

@SandyHorne61 A "high speed rail" that was a kind of car ferry over land between major cities would make EVs much more palatable. I'll remain hesitant until the distance issue is sorted

@stationmum101 Absolutely no idea. Although my work supervisor was showing me his smart home setup. He sits at on his phone at work turning on lights, sprinklers, A/C, whatever, to optimise the conditions for arriving home. Kinda cool. Makes me feel nearly Amish at this point.

@AdamGoldsack Oh I see a few actual night times one later. I saw. Couple of Earth satellites. Some overly zoomed in blurs with no reference frame. One obvious fata morgana mirage. Is this supposed to be smoking gun proof of aliens?

@AdamGoldsack Some lovely zoomed in pixels. What's the deal with the timestamps all being wrong? 4:50pm? 5:18pm? I saw a 1:45pm? Almost every single timestamp is daylight hours for Turkey at that time of year. Doesn't help credibility to my mind.

Have to say in all my years online I've seen a lot but UAP Twitter has to be some of the funniest. Keep it up! Someone has to exploit the gullible.
