@FinesseStocks One caveat worth flagging: Trial design choices like this are also common for far more mundane reasons (cost, enrollment logistics, regulatory guidance), so it's worth treating the "they did this to avoid a takeover" narrative as a theory, not a fact. Just saying...
@FinesseStocks Are you speculating that $CMPX intentionally traded "textbook-clean trial data" for "speed + strategic positioning," making the company more expensive to buy out cheaply rather than optimizing purely for the prettiest possible statistics?
@B0thSidesNow No one sues if you have good data. They buy the stock. My guess is that they want to time the release before the AACR next week to make a bigger splash. 🤷♂️
@financebully@DmitryKovalchuk I wouldn’t be surprised if CMPX already did a rough calculation on PFS and OS. Also, in my experience, if the news were bad, it would come out fast, otherwise people are quick to litigate for sitting on negative results.
@financebully@lfholt@DmitryKovalchuk That is likely why it is taking so long to get to 80% mortality. The survival details on that group will be very positive and described in the so called “Kaplan Myer curve.”
@financebully@lfholt@DmitryKovalchuk For Tovecimig --> mPFS > 5.5 months and mOS >11.9 months would make it best in class. The trial is designed to hit those numbers. There is likely a group of >20% of the treated patients who are likely staying alive much longer than 12 months.
