Ryohei Thomas Nakano @LuckyStrike1984 gave a great talk on the molecular dialog between plant roots & microbes in our @IPMBSinica seminar. The use of synthetic microbial communities (SynCom) in such studies is interesting.

Title:Deciphering the interaction between plants and bacterial pathogens: beyond activation and suppression of immunity
Grateful to our Academic Advisory Committee for visiting @IPMBSinica@AcadSinica!
Inspiring scientific exchanges, constructive feedback, and a shared vision for advancing plant and microbial biology.
Thank you for helping us shape the next phase of IPMB’s research excellence.
Membrane contact sites between chloroplasts and the pathogen interface underpin plant focal immune responses (Enoch Lok Him Yuen, Zachary Savage, Vojtěch Pražák, et al) https://t.co/8XS5lhr6Cc @EnochYuen@ASPB#PlantSci
Rubisco limits plant CO₂ fixation.
Lu et al. engineered Arabidopsis with a synthetic McG cycle, turning a Rubisco by-product into acetyl-CoA.
Result: more lipids, seeds & biomass—a proof-of-concept to boost carbon fixation by creating a synthetic “C2” plant.

Excited to share our new work @mbiojournal reporting two #Agrobacterium DGC proteins control virulence and #T6SS interbacterial competition via distinct strategies. Congrats to 1st author, my PhD student @XuanLaiTW for the achievement and co-authors @yumanda31@IPMBSinica.
GH25 lysozyme mediates tripartite interkingdom interactions and microbial competition on the plant leaf surface.
Congratulations to Zarah Sorger, @senguptaap for a great work! Thanks to @EKemen and @ParkerLab_MPIPZ for the wonderful collaboration.
