@SaMcDuff@Jo_4444real@gbemi_onii@oluwashina Yes, exactly. His first answer pretty obviously didn’t include an opinion on the play itself. If she really wanted that, and really wanted more of his opinion, SHE would have called HIM the next day to find out. But she didn’t.
@ConsciousFilth@K3ysh1a1@Kultured_Pearl@CoachWes03 Same - each kid has their own small board for, say, doing math problems. Then they hold up the answer like a game show :) They don’t go up to the board any more, prob to limit kids walking around the class
@PaulBeaty2@CNN At 2:30 Mayor Bowser announced there would be a curfew. The emergency alert system lit up mobile phones with a loud alarm. Hard to believe no one around her had a mobile phone or wondered why the emergency alert system was going off. The room I was in was momentarily deafening
@GailSimone Set up! There were several tabletop games my brother and I wanted to play, but after spending an hour with the rules trying to set everything up, it would be dinner time. I’ve thought some online games are like tabletop games but where someone else set it up for you
@Philip_DT@DarthOmnivorous@ericgeller@Popehat Yes, I’m sure children being homeschooled in evangelical households so they aren’t exposed to the evils of public education have free and unfettered access to the internet. Your stat of 96% is only Americans over 18, but I’m sure parents like that give all their kids smartphones
@rosamundi@stand_for_all Also, I think, middle class = parents aware that accommodations for their NT children are not “special pleading”. She’s had some nasty stuff to say about accomodations for ADHD
@jlippincott Descendant of Quakers who came over in the 1600s. Have voted for the Democratic candidate in every national election since 1988. Usually wished they were more progressive.
@Bob_Croft@ChrisECarlton@Bird_Tails@faineg This is a flat out lie. I protested against the war in NYC in October 2001 with upwards of one million people. We said it would be a disaster. We also said eventually people would claim “no one could possibly have known it would be a disaster.”
@spaghettiking10@CRBerginMD The entire thread is about trying to protect children too young to be vaccinated. Wear a mask as long as kids have to wear masks.
@iridienne@beccanalia@nberlat I second the recommendation for Sharon Shinn. Also Many Waters by Madeleine L’Engle, although I read it a loooong time ago.
