If we ended industrial animal agriculture, there'd suddenly be more than enough food for everyone, we'd essentially end animal cruelty, no one would die, and we'd take a huge bite out of the climate and ecological emergency. We could do this basically overnight.
What humanity is currently doing to the Earth, basically just so that a few very rich people can get even richer for a little while, is absolutely, unequivocally, the height of stupidity
We could end fossil fuels and animal agriculture much more quickly if doing so wasn’t manipulated and blocked and delayed at every turn by those rich people. Indeed maybe we’d essentially have done so by now.
This seems like a "world," but in reality it's an intricate spaceship and the global rich are degrading and breaking its life support systems in real time.
Every time you hear an airplane, it's the sound of people choosing to ignore that there's a climate emergency.
If you still fly but it doesn't feel right anymore, advocate for a systemic end to the aviation industry. This would help shift society into emergency mode.

Just learning Kelly Loving, the transgender woman killed in the Club Q shooting, put herself between the gunman and another patron, likely saving their life. She was celebrating her birthday the night of the shooting. https://t.co/t6h6f4inXk
Today @SenSanders and I led a letter to @POTUS asking him to guarantee 7 days of paid sick leave for rail workers. We outlined several options for executive action, including covering rail workers under protections for Federal contractors.
Every worker deserves paid sick leave.
🚶 Today, Just Stop Oil supporters marched through London in solidarity with the 24 ordinary people currently imprisoned for peacefully resisting our government’s genocidal plans for new oil, gas and COAL (wtaf)

With our bottomless appetite for unchecked and unequal economic growth, humanity has become a weapon of mass extinction.
At #COP15 I am urging leaders to adopt and deliver an ambitious peace pact with nature — and deliver a green, healthy future for all.
